That's awesome you're so close with your OB and that he's willing to come over if needed for the delivery.

Well crap. I'm contracting and it feels more uncomfortable than the usual BH. My DH is 3 hours away. I'm going to take a bath after I get the girls to bed and hope this doesn't develop into anything. I'm worried. :(
How are you feeling now?
Thankfully the bath did the trick. I just need to make it about 12 more hours and then he'll be home or within an hour of me for the rest of this pregnancy.
I saw every hour on the clock last night so I'm really grumpy and tired today. Ugh!
In happier news, I have the nursery all ready for my little guy. Here are a few pictures to share:
This one shows the mobile I made for above the crib.

The diapers!

My husband had to do like 5 coats of paint to get this dresser looking good.

The completed Simon project, along with a better view of the wallpaper.

My kids are now demanding my attention.
I love your nursery!!! What kind of diapers do you like to use? We are CDing for the first time with this baby. I bought tons of prefolds, some covers, and now I am starting to buy some pockets as well. I am excited to experiment with different brands.
I have lots of different kinds. I like prefolds or muttaqin newborns for the early days (with wool or thirsties covers). Later on, I do pockets - lots of different brands. My favorite are blueberries, but they're pretty pricey.
I did my normal workout today and was able to hold my planks for the full time (a minute at a time). My back didn't hurt at all while we were doing lunges and I was able to do deep squats. I was able to do all the ab work, even long lever lifts. I kind of felt like superwoman. I really want to get a picture of my hands on the weighted ball because I focus on reading the word "power" while I'm holding a position. I even mutter "power" under my breath. I think that could help me in labor. I'm so glad I've been going to a chiropractor this pregnancy because it's allowed me to continue to exercise throughout and not have sciatic nerve issues.
My two year old and I snuggled for an hour this afternoon and it was heavenly. My DH made supper for us because I couldn't bear to put her down. She was too soft and sweet. :D
So in other words, I'm really enjoying this last part of pregnancy now that my DH is home again so I'm not stressed out. I'm still having braxton hicks quite a lot, but nothing that hurts.
Here are some pictures from when Mina was born.
This was a few hours before labor started, on my EDD. Mina's room was yellow because we didn't believe the ultrasound tech.

This was between contractions at the hospital. I was suffering with back labor, but trying to be strong.

This was the first time I got to hold Mina. I was sooooo swollen.

This was after I was feeling a bit better in the mommy/baby unit.

I don't have many pictures from Charlotte's birth because it went so quickly. I'll get working on that next.
So glad things have calmed down. I love the "power" thing and using a focus word. I remember doing similar things in labor with DD. I also love love love the pictures, especially the colors in the nursery and you holding your little girl. It's so bittersweet to look back on those days.
I have all my decorations done for the party this weekend. Now it'll just be a matter of putting them up tomorrow night and then having the event on Saturday night. After that, baby is free to come. Yay!
I'm going to kickboxing class this morning. I anticipate more punching than kicking. I have to make lots of adjustments, but it feels good to move. I think I'll see if my chiro can fit me in afterwards to make sure my back is in good alignment. I have an OB appointment at 11:45 - bet I'll be waiting a looooong time with that appointment time. At least I won't have the girls with me!
I love all the pictures! How are you feeling?
