My birthday is the 25th. As a kid it SUUUUUUCKED having my birthday over Thanksgiving weekend. Now it's nice. I always get a long weekend. I get to do something I love ... cook all day and then pig out. And I almost always get to hang out with family. Tell Zoe how much better it would be to come out tonight or tomorrow so she can bring in cupcakes to school for her birthday without getting overshadowed by turkey.

FIL's birthday is the 25th too. It ALWAYS gets celebrated as an aside on Thanksgiving. A nephew of ours was born on Christmas day and he gets a cake and a 'Happy Birthday' song at some point on Christmas day. Zoe would definitely be better off to come within the next day or so in order to avoid the whole holiday shadow on her birthday.

My sister's birthday is Nov 28th and my cousin's is the 29th. They always celebrated over thanksgiving weekend/thanksgiving day and still do now even though they are adults. Neither seem to mind too much actually. My friend's child was born on Christmas day and that I really wouldn't like!

i have a friend that is a Christmas baby. We have been picking a day Thanksgiving weekend to celebrate DS's birthday. When he is older and has friends coming, i would probably do it the week before or after to make sure they could come.

My Dad's bday is Nov. 26-we always celebrate the Saturday after Thanksgiving with a second family get together for lunch so we get two big meals out of the holiday. My DH's bday is Dec. 29 and we don't really do anything for it with all the xmas stuff going on-I don't know if that happened as a kid or not for him, but at this point I have to say he doesn't mind missing a b-day celebration at all-he would be happy if we completely forgot about it all together, lol!

LOL about your DH not wanting to celebrate now!

Ugh. I feel like she's just way too comfy in there. Sadly not a single twinge, cramp, spot of mucus plug, or anything! Cervix has moved down about as low as I think it's going to get without labor. DH is fully convinced that sex does nothing because I'm still pregnant. I'm out of sex bribes at this point. I feel that if my birth ball could talk it would be cursing at me to give it a break.
Really wish labor would start today or tomorrow so that I don't have to drag the whole family out of the house before 7am Tuesday morning for my NST. That's gonna suck getting everyone ready and out the door. DS hasn't been getting up till 8-9am. DH is scheduled till 1am due to a Monday night flight, so he'll be a really happy camper.

I'm sorry your body hasn't been cooperating thus far, but we all know how quickly things can change! I hope the "threat" of having to get everyone ready and out the door for an NST will convince Zoe it's just easier to come out now then to have you go through that. I wish I could just send all my pesky contractions your way!

My mom's birthday is the 26th of Dec. Like Erin said, it can be annoying growing up but she LOVES it now because everyone thinks she's about 10 years younger then she is and she gets to see a lot of family around her birthday.

Here is hoping Zoe makes her arrival before Tuesday! How far do you have to drive to get to the NST? Aren't you like an hour away? Honestly, I didn't have really any signs with DS and then when I finally did it have some, it was the real thing so hopefully, once you really do have some contractions it won't be too long after. I am kind of bummed the sex hasn't been working for you two b/c I was truly about to start DH and and I on a daily regiment of it to hopefully at least start things on the right track. But I don't even want to attempt it right now(I feel so huge and it's hard to breathe!) if it's not going to help things out. I will just stick with my evening primrose oil thank you very much.
