Yep, I'm an hour away from my care providers. They're only 2 minutes from my hospital. DH thinks the drive is awful but at this point I don't mind it. I can tell you all about what farmer's planted out here. And it's really odd to me that not all of the cotton fields have been picked yet. Back home in TN they always are by now (my high school actually owned cotton fields lol). Okay, so maybe it's not the most fascinating, but could be a lot worse.
DH isn't so thrilled with sex because as he says I don't do much. Well, no I can't do things I used to obviously.
Well, this afternoon I felt the downward pressure shift a bit more back. Taking this as a good sign! C'mon Zoe mama wants to meet you!!!
Don't let the lack of signs get you down. My first sign of labor was my water breaking all over my bed. I seriously thought I had like 4 more weeks to go! Things can go from zero to baby in no time. She'll be here soon!
If my DH heard your DH complaining that you weren't doing much he'd smack him silly. He should feel like the luckiest man alive that he's getting anything at all.
I agree that a lack of signs doesn't mean anything. The night I went into labor with Isabelle, I stayed up til around 2am or something ridiculous watching a movie (note to self, do not stay up late anytime after 37 weeks). When I went to bed, I was disappointed I hadn't gone into labor because I wanted her to come for 10/10/10 which was the next day (well, technically that day at that point!) and I felt as if I would clearly be pregnant for another several days, no signs of anything happening. Within 45 minutes of going to bed, the first contraction hit and she was born by 1pm the next day! So Zoe really could be here any time whether you feel things happening or not!
And um,yeah, your DH is lucky to be getting anything at all!
Yup first sign with me as well was my water breaking as I got out of bed to pee. Hubby thought it was hilarous because initially I thought I had wet the bed thats how little had been happening. First contraction took awhile after that
Y'all are great for getting me back to positiveness! Thanks ladies.
I have had a few BHs tonight. Considering I haven't had any since about 38 weeks (I know at my appt last week I answered that question with "not this week"), it's kinda nice. Maybe it'll turn into labor? Would be nice. lol. I feel like my lodge is going to go on forever at this rate. Ha ha.
You're getting closer every minute! It will happen!
And I agree with the others, labor can start out of no where! BHs are a good start!
I'm another one that has no warning before actual labor starts! with DS it was my water breaking at 11pm and with DD is was strong contractions starting at 7:30am. With both I never even had BH contractions or any signs that labor might start soon! So keep your hopes up!!!!
Add me to the list of labor starting with water breaking. Yes I'd had PTL, but the contractions I had when I went to bed the night before I had DD, I felt no different then I had all week so I didn't think anything of it. It took soaking through two pairs of pajama pants to convince me things were happening.
You never know how fast BH will progress into the real deal. FX things will happen asap!
