Let go of the fears and frustrations.. I know its hard but continue to stay positive. She is coming this weekend! She just wants u to enjoy your thanksgiving dinner with her still inside...
She will be here before Monday!!!
Everyone has pretty much said anything I would have mentioned, but I did want to reinforce the fact that while it totally blows to be on a deadline, there's still plenty of time for her to come before Monday. IF you (hypothetically) got to that Monday deadline, I think it's great the OB is open to foley induction. Weight estimates are just that, and 8 lbs is an awesome size anyway!
Besides doing whatever I could to relax over the holiday, I'd be requiring some BD time from DH just incase. ((HUGS))
Agree with all of the above. Also, I don't know if anyone said this or not, but she's coming before Monday.
I had the foley cath dilation with Simon when induced since I am asthmatic and that matters for some reason.
Anyhow, it got me from closed to 2cm, nothing crazy. BUT why cant they try that now?? And even if it only does a little, you still have time to wait but it puts you ahead of the game???? Not sure if that makes sense. But that was what I am thinking of this time if induction is pushed. I'm also not sure if they can do it more than once?? Apparently the thing will fall out if you get to 4cm or 5, so if you're less than that i'm not sure if they could do it again.
It sure does sound like Zoe is on her way though. If she drops any lower she'll be picking things up off the floor.
I'm not too sure how much he's on board with a foley induction, so I think I'm going to have to argue it if I make it to my Monday appt. *sigh*
Sorry you are facing a deadline Have you been listening to the Fear Clearing track at all? I have found that the nights I listen to it I wake up feeling way better the next morning, like a weight is off my shoulders. I truly don't believe you will make it to Monday. You have so many things pointing to your body gearing up for labor. Plus you are doing lots of things to encourage labor too.
(((hugs))) I'm thinking tons of good VBAC thoughts for you!
The nursing picture of Aiden is adorable BTW! I nursed Kostas until 3.5 years on the dot and have many fond memories of toddler nursing
Mama to Kostas with the Mostest, born 07/10/07
and Marek "Cricket" Joshua, born 12/07/12
I haven't listened to it recently, but will tonight. I wish the come out baby wasn't $16. That's ridiculous to cheapo me. I do have the VBAC tracks and have been listening to those in with the other recommended tracks.
Bummer that he isn't on board with the foley induction. Hopefully there is a way to sway him toward that still. But like Erin said, it won't really be in an issue since you will be having her before Monday!
I agree with doing some fear release tracks or other relaxation ones that work for you. Also listening to the early birth/labor tracks (not sure if your hypnobabies or birthing) really helped in the days leading up to Archers birth. Is there someone that will be coming into town to help with Aiden? For some reason having my person responsible for the kids (my mom last time) really helped me to let go and relax so that my body could do the work it needed. Maybe there is something similar to that which is mentally holding you back from totally letting go.
Loving the Aiden nursing pic! Gosh it so reminds me of Odin. Hair and all.
Have you tried the "early labor" track (or whatever it's called, can't remember because I never used it!)
I also wonder if what Joy is saying has merit about something mentally holding you back. Are you mentally hoping for a certain day because DH will be available or something like that?
