Hi ladies! Have ab update for you! It's about 1:30 Jackie's time and she is having waves every 4-5 minutes lasting about a minute. Strong enough that she can't move during. They have called SIL to come get Aiden. I will update more as I hear from her or Chris!

5:30am Jackie's time. She los her plug with some bloody show and finally decided to head in the direction of the hospital. Her husband has made a reservation at a hotel with a jacuzzi- but, we're not so sure she's going to need it!! Her words as she was getting into the car, "This is going to suck." Her contractions are intense, she can't talk through them, and she is having lots of back labor.

Basically, she is going to push a baby out of her vagina *really* soon.

Ok, another update! They made it to the hotel. Jackie is in the tub, and back labor has eased way up, but she says Zoe has moved way up again. She's feeling good, spirits are high, but, says it's probably going to be a long day. She was eating breakfast in the tub. They are about 10 mins from the hospital.

So basically... anyone have any advice on how to proceed if Zoe keeps slipping back up, but also might still be posterior? I thought lunges or squatting would help bring her down, but, then Becky said maybe she should just walk if she's still facing the wrong way so that it gives her more of a chance to turn. Also, of course, hands and knees. Anything else?

Obviously, Jackie and Zoe just need all the love in the universe coming at them, so they can work together and bring Zoe down and out!

All these exciting updates! My only suggestion for the posterior thing would be lunges, hands and knees and walking. That's what my MW was suggesting yesterday for a posterior baby to get them facing the proper way and engage.

You're doing it Jackie!! I'm so excited for you!

Yay!!! To get my son to turn I tried the spinning babirs technique where I had my head and arms on the floor and my knees up on the couch. You only do that for 30 seconds with a posterior baby. I also saw my chiro and got adjusted, then while in early labor at home I actually stood in the shower with the hot water on my back. I leaned forward so that the water was spraying right on my lower back (this helped with the pain in my back) and my belly "dangle" just a bit. Maybe try having hubby put just a little bit of counter pressure right above your tail bone... That also helped me. If Zoe is in a posterior, or not great position, it may be why it seems that she is going back up.

Hoping that she gets into a good go position and that things go quickly, and smoothly, from there

Another thing another mom on DD's BB suggested trying to relieve the pain of back labor is sitting with your feet together (legs in a diamond shape) leaning forward and having someone apply CP.

She's headed to see the OB now. Apparently she asked for a hairbrush before they left. She is amazing, and is being quite the trooper!!!
