I hope that your LO is in the right position when it's time for your birth! But I wouldn't stress about it if you feel that the baby is moving in and out of position - I think that your body will make sure baby is in position when the time is right! But it definitely wouldn't hurt to do whatever you can to ensure it..
Happy Due Date!
Do you have any hunches about when or how he might arrive? Any days you *don't* want him to arrive? Has he been named yet?
David Letterman is retiring. Such great memories of watching him over the past thirty-two years!
Hope you get some time to put your feet up today. Glad LO is head down and heading in the right direction.

Happy guess date! Hope you're feeling good today!
I want to know the answers to all of Spacer's questions too.

We *think* we have a name chosen. I will announce it when he is born, because it's still subject to change. We've had a lot of trouble coming up with a boys name that we both agree on! We used our favourite names (and family middle names) for our first 2 boys. It's a very traditional name.
Just wanted to update on my appointment today. Midwife took my blood pressure and it was 130/70 (which she was happy with) The baby is still in the oblique position. She told me that if my water breaks without contractions page her right away as it could be an emergency. She said check my vagina for the cord and if I think I feel it call 911 She also said to basically go on all fours with my pelvis elevated on a slant.
She then checked me, and it was very painful. I'm not sure if that is normal, I don't remember that feeling from my other kids. Anyways, I am 4cm and 50% effaced. It's somewhat comforting to know that the contractions I have been having are doing something. I realize it doesn't really tell me when the baby will come, but it's more progress than I have ever made this early on.
Only sad news from the appt is that my midwife is off call until Monday morning at 8am. So, if I go into labour this weekend I have to call my backups. It's okay, one of them is a friend of mine, and the other I have met and seems nice. I'd really like my own midwife to be there though. I guess we'll just have to see how things progress.
We talked about the plan for the next little while, and I will go in and see her Monday (if the baby is not born) and she will do a stretch and sweep. It was nice she offered to come in on her holiday to do this. Next Thursday if I make it that far I will go for an ultrasound (Biophysical profile) and I suppose depending on the results they will go from there. I really hope I don't make it that far though!
If I remember correctly, once I started dilating past 1cm or so, that is when the checks started to hurt - so it probably has a lot to do with the fact that you are 4 cm already. Congrats on your progress - it really does mentally help when you know that all of those contractions are actually doing something!
I never had checks just while pregnant...but I did get checked a couple of times during labor, and I definitely remember that not being a nice feeling. So sounds like that could be normal- as Melissa said too.
How you feeling today???
