((big hug)) I'm sorry there was no apparent progress but I'm sure your body is working toward that day. I was already feeling the calendar pressure before 40 weeks so can imagine how much more you are now. :(. So glad your doctor was cool and not adding pressure. I really hope you find yourself in labor soon and that you're successful at relaxing until that time. :)
Good luck! Sorry, I can't remember....are you doing any kind of hypnobabies or hypnobirthing or anything? If not, just looking up one or two good meditations/fear clearing exercises might not be the worst idea.
*hugs* I don't have much advice to give as I've never been down the birth road yet, but I agree with the "the baby will come on their birthday" thing.
I say have a nice soak in the tub with some bubbles (well, depending on where you live, maybe a nice soak in a pool?) and just enjoy the relaxation for now. ;)
That's always a good one too!
My personal sanity plan is to focus on how much more sleep I'm getting (yes, even uncomfortable 3rd tri sleep) with the baby inside rather than outside ;)
Thank you all so much. I had my good cry a little while ago after saying good night to my girls that are still at their grandparents an hour and a half away. DD1 was telling me how much she misses me and that she is sad when she looks at her blanket and thinks of me sitting on it while we read books and say prayers. I couldn't talk after that and it's getting me teary all over again. I'm missing them so much. DH and I decided that we want them home this weekend even if baby hasn't come yet. This is the longest I've ever been away from them.
Yes, I am doing hypnobabies. Monday I took a nap and just left my ipod running and ended up listening to about 3 tracks in a row including the fearclearing track. I was thinking of putting on the birthday affirmations...who knows maybe baby will decide to come.
The extra sleep is nice and that I can get it no matter the time of day.
I'm about to have my second cup of cumin tea for the day.
You're in Mass, right? I'll bet you probably have some kind of "natural living" store near you that sells homeopathics. Get the homeopathic versions of black & blue cohosh, they are absolutely safe because you can't overdose and they will NOT force your body to do anything it's not ready for. Caullophyllum and Cimicifuga are what you look for, and you want the 30C pellets, I think. I can look it up for you later but DH wants the computer back right now.
I was just at WholeFoods last night and saw the black cohosh. Would they have the homeopathic versions? I'm sure there is a natural living store nearby, I'll have to do a little search. I picked up the cumin seeds to make tea and got some more raspberry leaf tea. I was actually looking for the loose leaf version, but they don't carry it.

I would ABSOLUTELY try cohosh before castor oil. Cohosh stimulates uterine contractions. Castor oil gives you horrible intestinal cramps that in turn can sometimes trigger uterine contractions. Ugh. I honestly don't know if I'd even do it as a last resort.
Glad you're feeling a little better, and I think having your girls come home this weekend is a good idea. Sounds like the separation is more hard than peaceful at this point. (((hugs)))
Looks like the Vitamin Shoppe has them:
Caulophyllum Thalictroides (6c) 80 Pellets
Cimicifuga Racemosa (30c) 80 Pellets also in (6c)
Is that the right stuff?
Also found: Caulophyllum Thalict (30C) 80 pellets
Molly--someone just sent this to me: a much more accurate way of calculating your due date. It is EXACT for my DD1's birth...what does it say for you? VBAC - A Duplicitous Journey: Estimated Delivery Date - Nichols Rule
