I hope the acupuncturist is right! If you have a baby in the next 24 hrs and I don't I'm getting some pineapple! Oh and looking for an acupuncturist.

I highly recommend the accupunture. You can start now Even if it doesn't induce labor it is a nice quiet relaxing time.

No indications baby is coming soon although I am liking the idea of the supermoon helping out!
I did talk to my OB yesterday and he doesn't want me to go a whole week without seeing him now that I'm getting past my due date and I'm "old" yes, he really said that! I had to laugh. He wants me to have him paged on Monday at the hospital and he'll come up with a reason for why I need to come in and see him No biggie. I'm going to be very clear that if he is able to to a sweep I DO NOT want my ROM.
I had accupuncture 3 days in a row and although it has helped with my sleeping and moving baby down, no sustained pressure waves. Everytime I go to the bathroom I'm hoping to see some plug...but nothing...
I had an amazing massage from a good friend of mine and she wouldn't charge me! She spent at least 2 hours on me! It was so wonderful and I enjoy spening time with her.
Back to the accupuncturist tomorrow...hoping it's the last time since it's getting expensive...

Yeah, my doc brought up the AMA thing too. Good luck today seeing the doc and I have fingers crossed for you that it's not much longer.

How awesome about your friend giving a free massage!

Hi Molly! Sorry to just be jumping in now! I'm having trouble taking on more than one thing at a time, hehee!

How are you feeling today? Don't let the pressure get to you! In Israel it is perfectly normal for 50 year old women to have their 7, 8 or 9th child or more! without pushing any extra interventions! "Old" is relative to what's accepted and what they're used to seeing. You're fine!!

I'll be sure to post what happens at with my OB. I do believe the accupuncture has helped lower the baby which is resulting in lots of preassure and even some mild contractions, but I think if there is no change in my cervix I'm going to have to stop going. It is getting way to expensive to keep it up.
I'm not worried about the "old" thing, I think it's funny that if I were 34 1/2 it wouldn't even be mentioned, but because I'm 35 1/2 it matters.

Called OB this morning and since I'm still feeling lots of baby kicks he is fine with seeing me Wednesday, but asked me to move my NST to tomorrow instead of waiting until Thursday. So my NST is at 1pm tomorrow and my OB appt is 10:45 Wednesday.
In other good news I've been having more regular pressure waves, some pretty strong, never less than 10 minutes apart. I'm hoping it's a good sign of more to come soon.
My kids are at grammy and grampy's house until the baby is born and DH and I are bored already without them around! It is nice to be able to nap when I need to and get work done from home.

Hi Molly, sorry I am just now catching up. I enjoyed reading your birth stories. Your first birth sounded a lot like mine. I so wanted a natural birth and got stuck in the pitocin trap. Glad you got a natural birth with your second even though it sounded hard. That story gives me hope for future births, should I have more. Hope this third one is easy peasy for you.

Good luck with your nst tomorrow. How nice to be kidless for awhile before adding a newborn to the mix. Hope your contractions pick up and your LO decides to come soon.
