Crappy appt today. Bp was ok at 124/90 (which I think would have been lower if she'd of given me a minute to rest), but I had +1 protein in my urine which I have never had before. And I put on 8 lbs in 1 week! OMG!!! My feet and ankles are really swelling and my hands a bit too. So she's keeping me on my current dose of meds, but I have to do a 24 hour urine collection and NSTs once a week.

I hope that for some reason the protein is due to the fact that I was a bit dehydrated for that sample (had been napping then running around to get ready so didnt really drink anything) and my urine was soooo concentrated and has since lightened back up to normal.

At least she didnt seem too concerned or mention induction again, just seeing her in a week.

Still feel kinda and it's made DH ultra paranoid which sucks. He gets so quiet and worried and miserable. He doesnt handle worrying about me well. He just wants the baby out and everything better.

Aw man. I HATED having to do the 24 hour collection with Aiden. So sorry you're having to do this, but it is for a good reason at least. ((hugs))

I hope next week's NST shows everything is fantastic. If it is and you have no issues from the 24 hour collection, think you could argue to skip a week or two of NSTs?

At any rate glad she didn't mention induction. You know my stance on that unless you end up having a true medical issue.

Why did you have a 24 hour urine collection with Aiden Jackie?

Remember the base hospital I started off with that pregnancy decided I had hypertension and that it was getting too high for their comfort. I had all sorts of issues with them involving my BP. They would only take it using a machine and told me there was no such thing as white coat hypertension. And the fact that I HATE HATE HATE those machines wouldn't affect me. Oh and I never was given a chance to rest or sit properly.

Which is funny because it cured itself.

I'm sorry your appointment didn't go well. Hopefully, the 24 hour urine test will show it was a fluke. How fast time is flying by these days. Just yesterday you were telling us Simon was going to be a big brother and now here we are! Crazy.

I hope it was a fluke too! I had protein once in my last pregnancy, and my midwife asked me what I had eaten the night before. It has been one of those nights with my toddler, and I'd had a embarrassing amount of Taco Bell at around 9pm, and then, an even MORE embarrassing amount of brownies at like 10pm. Like I said, one of those days. Anyway, as soon as I admitted to that, my midwife was like, "Ok, so you know that's not a good idea. No more 1/2 pans of brownies at 10pm." And I never had protein again after that. So yeah, hopefully it was something similar for you?
