Oh he is just scrumptious!!!! Do enjoy him to the fullest, newborns are just so perfect!!!
Way to go on weight gain Marek!!! You must have super boobs, huh? That's wonderful! As for diaper rush, try to watch it and eat yogurt so it doesn't turn into yeast infection, b/c those just complicate things.
Hugs about the emotional part of PP..... Just think of it as a storm. It will pass. Try to "ride it out" until then. I am sure your Dad's surgery will go well- sending him some Get Well vibes too :)
Feeling pretty proud of myself, we went to a UAA hockey game last night and I nursed 7 day old Marek multiple times without a blanket! I never really felt comfortable NIP with Kostas, I'd always go find a secluded place. So I'm pretty excited and proud to be jumping straight into NIP this time :)
The drive to Anchorage went really well, Marek didn't get fussy at all until the last 30-40 minutes. I'm looking forward to doing some clothes shopping for Marek while we are here because I didn't buy him much in the clothes department while I was pregnant.
I just keep feeling better and better in terms of recovery, I'm not sore anywhere and my bleeding is barely there. Once my pelvis muscles and ligaments tighten back up, I will feel completely back to normal.
So glad you are feeling on top of things. Shopping for Marek will be so much fun! My memories of Anchorage (in the 1980s!) are of everything being SUPER EXPENSIVE! I hope things have changed.
I'm so glad you're feeling so great and are gaining confidence with the NIP! I loved NIP when DD was little, but her need for seclusion drove me nuts as she got older. Most people have told me second babies tend to deal well with noise and things as they're used to it from their siblings, so hopefully he'll continue to make it super easy for you to NIP without feeling like you have to seclude yourself.
I am sure Kostas must love hockey games with it being so strong in your family. :D
Glad you're doing well! And WTG nursing in public confidently! I have to say it's been much easier this time around for me to NIP. :)
We are finally home! It feels really good to be home but kind of stressful too bc there is so much on my plate now and DH is back at work with unpredictable hours.
It is so nice to see our dog again! Kostas has been playing with her almost non stop!
She is very interested in Marek, I have a hard time getting her to stop sniffing him LOL. She is surprisingly aware of the need to be more calm and gentle around him and she's not even 2 yet! ( turns 2 on Xmas eve :) )
She does however think the bouncy seat was put out for her though, LMAO! She loves it and we have to turn it over to keep her out of it. Marek on the other hand... not a fan.
I used my Ergo for the first time today to put away groceries and make Kostas's lunch for tomorrow bc he was too fussy to do otherwise and it worked great for me and Marek loved it! I'm so glad I asked for it from my parents and thankful that they got it for me!
While I'm sharing pics I just have to share this one too, he's about 7 days in it and I just adore this pic :)
I love your photos. Glad your Ergo is working well for Marek! Its design is very cute.
Kostas is adorable with your dog. They obviously missed each other. Maybe the dog needs a special new cushion just for her? DD's dog has a special bed by the window which is her spot only. The kids aren't supposed to invade her privacy there.
How sweet to see "little brother" with his intent eyes on you. I love his dark blue onesie. So often they are pastel colours.
I love the pictures! Your dog seems so sweet. It's amazing how they just "know" to act differently around a baby. When DD was born, our housemates had a lab. She was a nervous wreck when I was in labor and when we brought DD home she was always protective of her but knew her boundaries pretty well. We have an ergo too and I'm excited to use it with DS. I didn't use it much with DD as she isn't into being worn a lot but I find it so comfy.
I love BWing. Sanity saver. :D
Great pictures! Love how the bouncer is more of the dog's than the baby's.
Ha ha! It's amazing that she fits in there!! Love the pics!!
