Here's a link to the water birth video. It is a really calm one because the woman in it is using Hypnobirthing I believe: Video: Live birth: Water birth | BabyCenter

The RL tea definitely created more action last night after I drank it. I will be curious to see if the same thing happens today when I drink it...

I agree! This has been so wonderful to get to spend time with my family when I would have been sitting around waiting anyway. And Kostas is absolutely soaking up the Uncle time! He is glued to him whenever he's around! LOL

For what it's worth RRL does nothing to me as far as BHs, cramps, etc goes. This past weekend I went from my 3 cups daily to 4-5 hoping that it'll help spring me into gear. Well, I'm obviously still rather pregnant. lol. I know Christa (momW) posted on her lodge that RRL did affect her so she stopped taking it since she wasn't ready for her LO to show up yet.

Shauna, sounds like things are going great there!

Well, all the iPhone/iPod Hypnobabies tracks issues are worked out because my brother is letting me use his old iPod nano to put the Hypnobabies tracks on. Unfortunately, the lock button is broken in the lock position though... DH is working on it though so hopefully the problem will be solved soon.

I also have a list of questions for the midwives at my appt in the morning and then I will literally have all my ducks in a row to go into labor! Woot!

How nice of your brother to lend you his Nano. I hope DH is able to get the lock button unstuck. How awesome that you're all prepared for this LO to come! I'm sure the lack of stress from having everything done will be fantastic for getting labor started.

Sounds like you are almost completely ready to go. I'm sure the lack of stress and hurry is great for you and for the baby. It's so wonderful that you are getting to spend all of this time with your family. What a wonderful and memorable way to welcome a new baby to your family. Can't wait to hear about your mw appointment.

    39 week appt

BP was 128/82 but I think the nurse took it funny so I don't think its quite right... I'm down 3 lbs from last week which was very surprising because I have been eating a lot more since I stopped working (at least it feels like it LOL).

I met the 3rd midwife today and I really like her. I had my list of questions about what they usually do (as long as there's no emergency) like AROM, episiotomy vs tearing, food/drink, pushing positions, cervical checks etc. and all of their typical practices are completely in line with what I want! What a huge difference compared to the OB I had with Kostas!

They've even had several labor/births that the mom used Hypnobabies/Hypnobirthing! The response I've gotten from the midwives about using Hypnobabies has been completely positive and supportive which rocks!

I even found out today that they had birthing stools in the rooms, which surprised me. Its nice to know that if I do end up out of the tub for pushing that I have lots of great pushing options

I also have yet to be offered a cervical check at an appt! Which I am thankful for because as much as I'm curious I don't want any cervical checks outside of labor and even then I don't really want any but am ok with a couple as neccesary.

The midwives have a very hands off, supportive approach and I am so so happy to be in their care!

I'm definitely feel like all my worries and issues are out of the way and I feel ready for labor whenever it comes!

Yay for a great appointment! Glad they answered your questions and are so supportive. That's such a nice feeling going into your delivery! That's funny that you dropped weight too even though you've been starving. I swore I thought I would have gained like 2-3 lbs this past week but no... Kind of makes me wonder if it's just something that happens at the end of the pregnancy? Interesting.

How awesome about your appointment! It's such a great feeling knowing your team is on the same page as you about how to handle the entire l&d experience. Having that trust makes things SO much easier in the long run.
