You look great. And the knitting! SQUEE! So adorable...can't wait to see a baby in those!

Ugh, those nerve pains! They are CRAZY for me too this time! They definitely seem to be worse at some times than at others, though (I assume dependent on her exact position) so I'm trying to walk as much as I can when they're not too frequent. I've even been getting them sometimes lying in bed, which is just weird.

Wow, you and Leigh are both just tiny ladies with a big belly hanging off the front! You both wear pregnancy so well. Super cute. Those of us who turn into human cows during pregnancy are jealous!

Cute belly pic! Love the knitwear. It looks like you are really good at it. I knit but not so well to make garments. Scarves and hats are about all I can do. Those are adorable though!

Well yes 3 boys is quite a distraction I would imagine. Yay for a name. I'm so excited that you and Leigh have secret names. I can't wait to see these little ones and learn their names!

Elizabeth: I bet you could figure out this pattern! I made it up because I was bored, and it's really easy. I'll type it up for you.

The ILs offered to take my older two boys for a bit this afternoon while DS3 "napped" (ran out of his room over and over with little episodes of playing quietly). I took the hour, and some fabric scraps, to make an changing pad I spotted a few weeks ago.
The tutorial is here Made By Marzipan search for all-in-one changing mat. It's easy and the directions are great.
Here's mine, without the vinyl because I didn't have any

standing while sewing gave me some AF-type cramps, but no real contractions.

Okay, Elizabeth, this is for you (not that you have a baby small enough right now!)

Here's the pattern for the gown I made. It's the gray/blue one. The other had thicker yarn, but I didn't write down the pattern while making it. It uses 1 skein (I think) of homespun yarn and size 10 knitting needles. I did it all on circular 16" needles. I think it's size 0-3 or maybe 0-6 months.

first you make the sleeves and neck opening. You work from the the bottom back of the sleeves, over the shoulders making the neck opening and back down to the bottom front of the sleeves (although there's no real back or front)
    cast on 54 sts
work stockinette st for 2.5-3", ending with a knit row (back-and-forth on the circular needles or on straight needles)
purl 20 sts, loosely bind off 14 sts, purl 20 sts (end row, turn)
knit 20 sts, cast on 14 sts, knit 20 sts (end row, turn)
purl all. continue working in stockinette st (still back-and-forth) for 2.5-3" to match first length. End with knit row.
bind off 17 sts, purl to end of row, turn
bind off 17 sts, knit the remaining 20 (circular needles now)

This is the only kind of tricky part. I'll do my best to describe it. With the 20 knit stitches on the right needles, fold the piece in half with the right sides out. Find the middle 20 sts on the other end of the piece. Slide them on to the empty (left) needle starting with the leftmost stitch, then knit them, resulting in 40 sts on the circular needles and the stockinette stitch on the outside.

Continue knitting around (no need to purl on circular needles) until the gown (or sweater) is the desired length. I might add a few rows of ribbing to the bottom (with 40 sts start k2p2 and keep that up around and around until the ribbing is long enough)

at the end turn the gown inside-out and sew the bottom seams of the sleeves. If you want, you can add a contrasting trim in single crochet like I did on the green gown.

If you want to try it and need any help, just ask! I think I might add this to the list of projects I'll make for baby showers if my relatives and friends ever start having babies.

Thanks for the pattern! It does seem manageable. I will have to try it out for my friends baby due in spring. Im more of a crocheter, but knitting is fun too. My problem is fixing mistakes in my knitwork.

Awesome that you are feeling something. Hope we wake up to baby news!
