I'm more of a crocheter at this point, too. But, for some things knitting is just so easy.

It's hard to say what felt different. Baby was really low, I was crampy, my stomach felt off. I felt kind of restless and tired at the same time. But, no labor. I think my body tried to start things this morning, but it was weird. I had a few decent contractions and started timing. Every 5 minutes I'd feel one coming, but at least half the time it suddenly stopped. Then they all stopped. Again. I kind of wish DS3 were still nursing (we weaned 4 months ago). He asks for milk sometimes, but really doesn't like colostrum, so won't nurse for me anymore.

I'm feeling a lot less impatient now, for some reason. I feel like I already passed my "deadline", but since everything feels okay it doesn't seem like a big deal.

ETA: Last night DH was joking(?) about when we "accidentally have a 5th baby". I told him to bring it up again in a year when my hips hurt less. He's so ready to have a newborn again.

Glad you're feeling patient. It's such a saving grace at this point. Cute that your DH is so ready!

I'm feeling patient, but I also feel like this baby is definitely done baking. He's ready, it's just a matter of my body getting around to kicking him out. I'll have to ask tomorrow about a membrane sweep and maybe EPO. I'm not sure I'm brave enough for cohosh at this point and there's no way I'm touching castor oil. I'm already prone to nausea and have borderline IBS. I'd rather do pitocin than trigger more digestive unpleasantness. We are still DTD daily.
I've never gone to or past my EDD before, so I don't know what to expect in the form of more testing or whatever.

Cohosh isn't harsh--I think you can do homeopathic and it's even more gentle. I refuse to do castor oil.

I'll see what the MW thinks of it. I'm just nervous about going far over, not because I'm impatient to have the baby, but because I don't know how my body will handle a longer pregnancy. I feel like the post-dates testing would pick up something the MW or doctor wouldn't like.

It's worth asking. Mine recommends it at this point (40+). I am not worried about postdates being a health issue for me or the baby, but I completely understand it being weird and new for you, with a history of your babies coming early and the previa keeping you on edge already this whole time. I will say that another BN mama who had her 3rd earlier this year had her first two at 37+ something, and her 3rd went to 42+5 (I think...it was definitely 42+)! So...it could be completely fine and normal. You never really know.

Hang in there! You haven't even hit your due date yet. Baby is coming!

The cramping is starting up again, just like yesterday. I wouldn't mind a due date baby tomorrow. All my kids have been born on an even day in an even month in an odd year, so family has been joking that this one can't come on an odd day. I'm intrigued to see if our pattern continues.

Wow crazy that this has been your longest pregnancy. I think its cool when babies are born on their die dates...so fingers crossed that it happens that way.

You are crazy to want pitocin over cohosh. Pitocin was awful once they pushed it past level 4. I was dry heaving and contractions were unbearable. I haven't tried cohosh or castor oil, but I imagine they can't be nearly as bad.
