I've made it to my due date. I'll be honest, I didn't think I'd see this day, but here I am... and it's not so bad! It's actually a funny feeling, because I honestly thought this baby would be here by now, but at the same time, I'm not that surprised I went overdue.
I've celebrated by having a big breakfast, snuggling with my little man and watching a movie. Later we're going to go for a walk to the park and run around there. I made my 41 week appointment for August 30th, and I think if I make it to that date then I'll start talking "induction" methods with my midwife to see if I can get things going naturally (maybe castoroil or a sweep..?)
Right now I'm comfortable and don't have any aches or pains, so as long as I feel good I'll let baby dictate his/her own birthday.
I am feeling like a watched pot though, and DH is the WORST of them all!!! He calls me all the time "how are you feeling?" "whens the baby coming?" "COME OUT BABY" ... Geez.. thanks for the support hunny!
Anywho, that's my update I'm doing well. I'm in no rush. I am excited to meet this LO, but I'm also enjoying the remaining days of this pregnancy. I'll miss being pregnant when it's over.
I'm the most pregnant I've ever been! Haha
I had Will at 40+3, today I'm 40+4!
I've been having some on and off contrax since 6am. I keep waiting for them to intensify but they haven't. DH got some castor oil last night (told you he wants baby here)... and I have it sitting on the counter staring at me. I won't lie, I'm curious if it would do the trick... but another part of me just wants to wait. I have my 41 weeks appointment on Thursday and I am considering getting a sweep done. I think it would be a good time to do it and it would be less "gross" than drinking castor oil.
In the meantime, these contrax are still chugging on. Maybe I'll have a spicy lunch and see if that does anything
exciting! Hope that things don't drag on!

If you decide to try the castor oil, have some apple juice on hand to use as a chaser. And if it starts to make you feel like puking, stop--even if you haven't taken the full dose. DS1 was a castor oil baby--and that was after three sweeps, acupuncture, and cervical acupressure that did nothing.

checking in on you no real suggestions but wanted to give my support to you. You're doing great momma!!!
after contracting for 15+ hours every 7ish minutes I curled into bed to get some sleep. I woke up for an hour and a half contracting every 5 minutes then fell back to sleep.
Now I'm awake for the day - nothing! No contrax. DH is really irritated lol. He cancelled lessons (he's a golf pro) and told everyone at work he wasn't coming in. Now he's in the shower - getting ready for work. hahaha Guess I shouldn't laugh. I know he'll have to deal with the "no baby yet?" questions all.day.long. and that's never fun. After the 4th person you're really just ready to start hitting people instead of answering them LOL
Hopefully next time my uterus decides to contract all day I'll get a baby at the end.
