    Default Audiobook whine

I'm listening to the second Vampire Academy book (Frostbite) right now, and first off the narrator is a different person from the last one even though it is also told fom the perspective of Rose. I guess that might happen from time to time with audio books, but what really irritated me is that about halfway through the book they called a character by a completely different pronunciation. It took a minute or so to realize who they were talking about. Since they are at the lodge I just thought it was someone new. It was Mia, but instead of prounouncing it like Meeee - uh as they have with the first book and beginning of this one, they pronounced it My-uh. So annoying!

Ok, so the whole name switcheroo thing is still so not cool. Everytime they say Mia pronounced My-uh I find myself correcting it. Goes a little something like this, "Mee -uh, it is supposed to be Mee-uh." Sometimes I insert an explitive too, because it grates on my very last nerve. This seems like such a minor thing, but oy ... not to me. I just keep waiting for the narrator to pronounce it correctly as she did at the bginning of the book. How do you change it mid book??? Oy, Oy, Oy!

Not to beat a dead horse or anything, but she actually pronounced it Mee-uh again once last night. Then right back to My-uh. She narrates the 3rd book too. ugh.

I looked on audible, and from the reviews, I'm not the only person irritated with the narration. Hoping by the time I finish this one and move to the next I'll be over it. I'm on about chapter 13 or 14 now. I try to listen to a chapter at a time. They are fairly lengthy.

I'm pretty intrigued with Adrian Ivashkov. He seems a little on the yummy bad boy side & he knows quite a bit about Lissa. Waiting to find out a bit more about him!
