So - I am not getting my book until Monday because DSL could not honor their day of release delivery promise to Amazon.com. I am soooooooooooooooo freaking upset and sad right now I cannot even tell you! UGH! Oh well, that is how things are going for me as of lately.

Oh no Cindy, I'm so sorry they couldn't get you your book. Sad

If I lived near you, I'd run out and pick it up for you.

I didn't get to start until around 11 pm last night (kids and t-storm), and didn't go to bed until nearly 3 am.

I was coming to post my excitement, but I think I'll hold off for a bit. So far though I'm really surprised by everything I've read. I'm to part 2 now.

You can post your excitement. I am excited for you. Just depressed for me. I emailed and phoned Amazon and they are happy I told them about their carrier and my experiences with this book - and they gave me a $10.00 certificate because of the problems. I don't want the money - I want my book. So I hope Monday will bring it. If not then I am to write them again. Oh well, I guess my waiting will just let the experience last longer.

So shout your excitement hun! I am so glad you got yours!

They better get it to you on Monday, or I'll start e-mailing them too.

ROFL

that was nice of them to get you a gift certificate, however, doesn't really make up for not getting the book.

Nathan felt so bad for me he drove me over to B&N after we went to the Blue Angels Air show today and told me to go get one. They were down to just a couple of copies left so I got it! I am starting it right now.

The other I am giving as a gift to a friend. Wink

You guys have made me really want to start this series. I have it in my library and I just ordered the fourth to have when school starts up again, but I haven't read it yet. I know the kids LOVE it.

Cindy, your story reminded me a bit of last summer when the last HP book was being released. We were driving back from Kentucky to Indiana and my dad/stepmom very sweetly stopped at a Sam's Club and let me use their card to get a copy (all I could talk about that day was that the book was available). And they knew that my having a copy of the book meant two things: that I'd be relatively antisocial for a bit and that they'd have to listen to my oldest child bicker with me for the chance to read it. Smile

Glad you got a copy!

Peace,
Julie

Aww... that's too bad. Srsly, am I the only one who really liked the book? I went into it with no expectations cause I knew if I did I would only be disappointed. Truly, my huge disappointment came in Eclipse so maybe I was just over it. Smile

Oh, I'm not sad because I disliked it, just sad to be finished. I honestly feel a bit of jealousy towards people who are reading the series for the first time. I loved the book, I don't think anything could have improved it for me!

When I see them in a bookstore I can't help but go look at them and admire them. Lol

& New Moon was my least favorite (though it was still great) of the series.

Yes, I am also sad to be finished, but glad it is over because the books srsly hijacked my life!! I was worried about my new school term starting without being over this obsession. Smile

I do mean the series books, and not the people looking at the books. That would be a tiny bit creepy. ROFL

Time for bed, I think.

I am sad it's over too. I will pick them up again before December. My DH thinks I am crazy to re-read books, but what does he know! Wink

I very rarely re-read, but am definitely planning to re-read (or listen) to this series again. I just love it too much. I think I will wait to read again until after the movie. I'm so awful for comparing the two, and if it's super fresh in my mind, it is that much worse.
