did you get your kindle? What do you think? Have you been able to put it down?
I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!
It is so much easier for me to read, it's really easy on my eyes, and its so much more portable than taking a bulky book everywhere (although my cover hasn't arrived yet so I'm still carrying it in the Amazon box, lol!) It got delivered right before I had to take DS to soccer practice so I plugged it in to charge while we were gone. Came home and it was ready to go. I downloaded my first book with no problems and it has been hard to put down since. Took it to my mom's last night and she's not a huge reader, but she is now considering this because she might read more.
I have really small hands so I always had to hold even the smallest paperback books open with both hands to read comfortably and now I can do this all in one hand and pet the dog with the other to keep her happy. It's win win for everyone. Well, maybe not DH. He already complained that I always had a book in my face - now it is going to be worse I think, lol!
I would definitely say if you are considering it - that is totally worth it. I'm kinda mad that I made myself wait so long now because it is just awesome!
I'm so glad you like it! Watch out for 1 Click addiction. I need a 12 step program. Thankfully there are plenty of free or very inexpensive books to click on.
I know - I'm already addicted to anything Amazon - and now I can see it getting much worse. It might give our UPS man a break though.
Glad you love it! I want one so badly. One of these days I'll treat myself!
if I haven't mentioned it, you might want to look into downloading calibre (its free). http://calibre-ebook.com/
It does library management, ebook conversion (as long as they aren't drm'd), free daily news feature, etc. People rave about the news feature, but I've never used it. I prefer to only turn on the wireless when I'm downloading a book. I love the auto conversion (very useful when getting books from other sites). Also, it saves/organizes all your book content. I have all my Amazon books on it, too. You use the USB cord to upload books from calibre to your kindle. One feature that I wish it had, but doesn't is a way to keep track of which books have been read and which haven't. I've gotten around that by using the ratings. I don't rate my books, so any book I've read, I give 1 star to. I can then look up all the books with no stars to figure out what I want to read next.
