I'm late, but I did have a Christmas wish list for books. I didn't get "Not Wanted on the Voyage" by Timothy Findley or "The Book of Negroes" by Lawrence Hill (recommended to me) but I'm going to look them up at the library. I did, however, get all six books of the House of Night series, and am looking forward to that. For my birthday, also in December, I got the Mortal Instruments trilogy by Cassandra Clare, so I'm reading that right now. Pretty good so far. Also got The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver and am looking forward to that one, since I loved The Poisonwood Bible.
I think you said you were planning on reading it after your DD, right? I think you'll enjoy it. I'm on the second book, and I am enjoying it even more than the first. I read that the books will be made into a movie (or movies?) in around 2012. Let me know when you start it, I'd be happy to hear what you think.
I had so many on my list I'm pretty sure people though I was crazy...at least DH did. In his opinion I should just always get them from the library and not waste money on them. Although I think he's finally realizing that I will still buy them. I had the Anya Bast Elemental Witches Series (which are the only ones I got). My problem seems to be I have so many Authors/Books I want to read that I don't know where to begin. Here's just a small portion of the list I had:
Demons not Included - Cheyenne McCray
The Otherworld Series - Yasmine Galenorn
Savannah Vampires Series - Raven Hart
The Dark Crescent Sisterhood Series - Anna Windsor
The Demonica Series - Larissa Ione
There are many more too. Unfortunately, more than I can keep up with.
