    Default Hello

Hi! I'm Carrie, 31, mom to a busy 4 year old - and my new year resolution is to read more books. I use to read a lot before I had DS (mostly James Patterson books) and then once he was born it all switched to anything that came on hard cardboard pages. I started my Masters in 2007 and then it was reading for school and the kidlet and it just didn't seem enjoyable to me. Well, DS has graduated to "reading" his own books with a little help from me, and I finished school in May - so I decided I wanted to get back into it again. I've read the Twilight series (twice, except for Breaking Dawn which is on backorder at the library), a couple James Patterson books, Confessions of a Shopaholic, The Weight of Silence, Dear John, My Sister's Keeper, and just read Crossroads Cafe for free on Kindle for PC. I'm going to try to get through my collection of books I have and ask for a Kindle for my birthday in April. I've heard awesome things about it. I wasn't sure if Id like reading on a screen like that, but I didn't mind the Kindle for PC version and read Crossroads in two days.

So that's me - I don't read anything too deep (as you can tell from the list I read last year, lol!) but I do like to try new things.

    welcome!

I got my kindle for Mother's day last year and absolutely love it. Let me know if you have any questions about it.
There is something about words. In expert hands, manipulated deftly, they take you prisoner. Wind themselves around your limbs like spider silk, and when you are so enthralled you cannot move, they pierce your skin, enter your blood, numb your thoughts. Inside you they work their magic. ~ The Thirteenth Tale
