I belong to a book club and we have to bring Christmas gifts for the grab($10-20) having something to do with one of the gifts we have read. I cannot think of anything!!!! Please help with any ideas you may have. This year we have read:
Water for Elephants
Pillars of the Earth
A Year by the Sea
Friday Night Knitting Club
Devil in the White City
The Thirteenth Tale
The Bonesetter's Daughter
Any ideas would be appreciated!!!!
I've only read The Thirteenth Tale and half of Friday Night Knitting Club.
For FNKC I'd do a ball of Sugar and Cream yarn and a set of needles size 6 or 7 and then I'd include this super easy pattern
Maybe a Copy of Jane Eyre -- as that is the page from a book that was with Aurleius on the night he was found.
Maybe a copy of the movie Evening for that book
That's all I can think of. Good Luck, what a neat idea for a gift exchange!
I think the pattern , yarn and needles is a great idea but I know that not a single woman in the group knits lol. I would love to learn myself though!
I'm basically self taught, and only know a couple of stitches, but what I know is enough to make small projects, finding the time is a whole different story. You might include the links to a couple of of online knitting tutorials then too with the pattern. My favorite is Knitting Help
wow what a very fun and great awesome idea for a gift exchange. how creative!
I have read "Water for Elehpants" and "The Bonesetters Daughter" but am clueless of gift ideas.
Sorry , GL! Let us know what you decide to do.
