My Copy of The Host arrived today. Cant wait to start it. Hopefully tomorrow, must finish another book first.
I enjoyed it, but not as much as the Twilight Series.
Those who read it, can you remember anything being wrong with it, too sexual for a middle school library. My librarian has decided not to put Breaking Dawn out in the student section, and is placing it in the faculty resource area, which I fully agree with. I think it is definitely 9th grade level and up. She asked if there were any issues with The Host, and I really couldn't remember any. Would love to hear feedback from anyone who has read it more recently than I have, or multiple times.
I had a hard time getting into it. I was told to keep reading and it would get much better.
Finzmom4- (sorry, don't know your name) I am *pretty* sure it's on the shelves here at our middle school, 6th & 7th grade. We aren't putting out Breaking Dawn either, unless the parents okay it.
I don't think there was really anything sexual about it, though it was definitely written for a more adult level (according to Meyers).
I really enjoyed it, look forward to the rest of the series. I think I liked it better than the later books in the twilight series.
My husband bought me The Host awhile back, I started reading it but couldn't get into it. I think my head was still in Twilight too much lol I may try and pick it up again, I started reading Twilight again but I think I'm going to put it down and try The Host once more. What I really need is another good book to get lost in lol
Mama to 7 curious, wild & wonderful little ones ♥
Give The Host at least 100 pages, and even then for me it still wasn't "Twilight," it was good though.
UGH...I am having a hard time with this one. I am about 40 pages in and am thinking about putting it down as I have sooooo many others taht I really want to read and hate to waste my time with something that is boring me....ya know?
