How do you read?
Was just wondering what format most people use to read. I'm kind of all over the place. I do audio, e-book (with the Kindle), and hard/soft cover. Sometimes I just want a real book in hand, but the ease of downloading for audio or e-book makes me use those formats often too!
I used to do a lot of audio books when I did more online work and had less kids lol.
Now, I read on my kindle or my iPhone. I read on the Chrome Kindle Cloud Reader when I pump since I can do that no hands. I read on my Kindle at home and I read on my iPhone when at an appt or in the car or something.
I have only read one paper book since I got my Kindle. I just like it so much more than a 'real' book now. It is so convenient.
I used to be totally sold on regular books. To me there was nothing like having a big book in your hand, and having the satisfaction of turning those pages and thumping it down in the bed when you were finished! But last week my mom bought an ipad2 and I really wanted to read Stephen King's new novel 11/22/63, so I downloaded it for $14 on there as opposed to spending $25 at Walmart for it, and it reads just like a book! With the swish of my finger the pages turn and I'm in love (and saved myself $10!)... so I think I'm converted forever!
haha Krystal that is how it happens. Go look at one of the new kindle touches at walmart or staples and see what you think of those. The e-ink is just wonderful to read on. No eye strain like you may get from the iPad. I read on my iPhone, so the screen doesn't actually bother me, but I do like reading the e-ink better on a real kindle.
I got a kindle touch yesterday and LOVE it. I had played with my sisters and didn't like how slow the pages turned compared to my Kindle Keyboard. They released an update for that issue so I bought one. I am SO glad I did. I really loved my kindle keyboard, but I like this one so much better.
I do ebook (Kindle) and paperbacks/hardcover. I tend to go through about 2-3 books a week, and DH would kill me if I bought all of those! I've got 5-6 series that I love and I buy them the day they come out. Some are hardcovers others are paperback. These are the ones I could read over and over again. There's several other series I really enjoy, but don't really care to reread them so I just check them out from the library. If the library doesn't have the book I want then I get it on my Kindle. I also love to get the free books they put out because it's new stuff that I wouldn't normally read.
