I don't want to read!

I have been working my way through these books by Robin Jones Gunn. They are young adult Christian fiction. I LOVE them. I started with the Christy Miller series. It was 12 ( really short.. maybe 150 pages each) books about her in highschool. Next was the Sierra Jensen series. It is another 12 short ones about a friend of Christy's. Christy and the friends of hers from her series are in these books too. After that is 3 in another spin off series about Christy and her boyfriend while they are in College. Now I am finishing up a 4 books series about another friend of Christy's ( Katie). I have one more book to read. Another about Sierra and then that's it. The author has other books and I am going to have to read them too. I just do NOT want to finish this Katie Weldon book and that last Sierra book because I have been reading these for months and I am going to be so sad. lol. They are seriously like friends to me now. I am almost done with the one I am reading and I could finish it in one sitting if I would just read it, but I just can't bring myself to say goodbye to the characters.

Have you ever read books that you felt so strongly about?

Well, I finished all of the books I had by her. There are three more that I want to read, but I have put myself on a book spending freeze until I read a few of the ones I already own lol. After 32 books in a row by the same author, it was kind of hard to switch to someone else.

I've felt that feeling of not wanting to finish a book because of not wanting to leave the characters before. I know what you mean there. Personally I am going through the opposite kind of phase, though. There are so many different books I want to read that I'm jumping all over the place. But I do enjoy a good series, and I hope you find another one you enjoy as much soon! What about the library to read the last few books without spending the money?
