I'm new, is that ok?

Hi everyone!
I have been on this board for awhile now, I am part of Oct 07. But I never started exploring until recently, and I discovered you guys! I LOVE reading!!! I tend to read more thrillers, romances, the occasional non- fiction and of course, Harry Potter! Wink My favorite book is "Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas" by James Patterson, that one always makes me cry. I was a VC Andrews addict, but only to her original work, my favorite's are the "Ruby" series, and the "Heaven" series. I am looking forward to reading the books recommended on here. Oh ya, I should probably add something about myself. Ok, my name is Jenn, I am 26, I have been married for almost 8 years. I have 3 children...Alex is 6 yrs old, Ben is 4 yrs old, and Emily is 5 mo old. I'm not sure what else to add right now, but I look forward to getting to know all you other readers. :wavehello:

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

Kelly~ I call that a "read in". I'm a dork but when Harry Potter 7 came out I was at the store at midnight and then when I got home I stayed up until I finished the book. DH was supportive and watched the kids while I was doing this, lol.

Aren't Dh's like that wonderful!!!!! My wonderful Hubby has watched kiddos for me on more than one occasion so I could read a much awaited book, or finish one that I was completely absorbed in!

I like to read a lot of different things, fiction, non-fiction, biographies, self-help, truelife crime - scary like Stephan King, probably be easier to tell you what I don't like to read - I don't like Westerns, and harlequin romances..other than that I will attempt to read almost anything Smile

I don't know how to classify what I like, except to say I enjoy mostly fiction. I was a history major, and have a special affection for historical fiction, though I don't always read it. I enjoyed a lot of Oprah's early picks for her book club. (Midwives by Chris Bojhalian was my favorite)

Some authors I especially enjoy are -- Chris Bojhalian, Stephenie Meyer, Jodi Picoult, Billie Letts, Jennifer Weiner, Nicholas Sparks
