Default Looking for fun, light hearted but attention grabbing books.

I'm looking for some books that are light, for the most part but also grab your attention. I tend to be pretty hormonal while pregnant so I don't want to read anything that is overly upsetting or scarry, I tend to get carried away with it lol So am trying to find some good boks that will keep my attention but that are also light, even if adventerous. Am I asking too much? LOL

Help a pregnant mama out lol

I'd recommend The Eyre Affair and sequels by Jasper Fforde (Thursday Next series). It's entertaining and literary and unique and silly and adventure and sci fi and and and...hard to describe.

    Peace,
    Julie

I know these are old books but have you read the Stephanie Plum series. It is quite funny but still a bit of a mystery.

How about The Lightning Thief (it is the first in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series)

It is kids/YA lit that deals with the Greek gods. The humor is pretty good, and it has a good deal of action. Just a fun read! I'm about halfway through the the first, I can't really say much about the rest of the series.

I'll get back to ya if I think of more.

I didn't even tell you the author of the Stephanie Plum series It is by Janet Evanovich. The first one is called One for the Money. It then goes on by number. I hope you enjoy them. They were an easy 1-2 day read for me on each book.
