No idea. I have a huge stack of books, but to be honest, it really doesn't look like any of you really read the same things that I do. I will keep brainstorming, though.
How about The Road by Cormac McCarthy? He just won the Pulitzer for it.
I have never heard of it, I will go see what it is about. I am game to try anything, I dont have a lot of books that I am DYING to read or have any other ideas. I am up for anything. Worth a try, then can continue with my to be read list.
Any other ideas? or do we all say :ok: to this one?
this one sounds like a good choice.
it's an Oprah's Book club selection also
I'll try to get it from my library
okay I will have it by next week. I am ready to go
I can have it pretty soon as well. I checked it out, but returned it to finish other books. Should have kept it!
I haven't been able to get this one from the library yet. I think it's due back around the 21'st of June, so I'll try then.
How's it going for everyone??
It is a pretty quick read, so you'll be able to finish it in time, I think.
Just a warning, there are no quotation marks. But it's easy to tell the dialogue apart.
I got mine in Thur. It is a 14 day loan and I am in the middle of another book. Gonna try to push that one out quick and this one read in time too.
I've got some discussion questions to post for when we finish the book.
ack mine is due Wednesday and I can't renew it. So setting book #1 aside and starting this one today. this gives me 3 days to read it, I think I can do it.
I hope I can get back into book #1 after doing so, I don't read more then one at once usually
just picked it up at the library yesterday. Hoping to read it next week while on vacation.

oops I was still in caps.. lol sorry!

Uggghhh, this book is so depressing to me. I can't stand thinking of a world like this, and I'm having a very difficult time making my way through it. I read it some on vacation, but it just made me want to crawl under the covers and never come out again!
I agree, this book is mega depressing. And I just had a lo, so for me to read this book, puts me into major sadness.....I actually read this book cause where I live, some girls were having a book club and this was the book. Man, I wish they would have picked a happier book. But it was still really good none the less..... :crybaby:
