The Mortal Instruments Series

Hi all. I see that there isnt too much activity here but wanted to join in. I am currently reading the Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I am currently on the 4th book. There are 5 books out so far, and one that is supposed to come out this year I believe. The series is actually being made into a movie series. The first one comes out this summer. Anyone want to read them with me, chat about the books, then go see the movies when each comes out and then chat about those???

I've read all the books out so far, and I'm sure I'll check out the movies as well. Have you read the other series too? (Clockwork Angel, etc.) They are different, but do connect a bit. I'd recommend them for sure!

Stephanie- I just finished the 5th book and am going to pull my hair out till #6 comes out lol. I have not read the clock work series yet, but may just have to do that while I wait for the other book to come out Smile

When I was at barnes and noble the other day getting #5 I asked the lady to see when #6 was scheduled to be released and it look like we have to wait till next year sometime. She did say that the first 5 are being re released in August when the movie comes out with the people from the movie on the covers. Also, they are releasing City of bones as a graphic novel at that time.

Mia- What book are you on?

Kier, the Clockwork series is really good, unless you don't like love triangles. So much more info involved. The third book, Clockwork Princess, was just released last week.

But my favourite is the new short story series The Bane Chronicles. Marcus Bane is hilarious. They are being released once a month for 10 months. The first was What Really Happened in Peru (from where Marcus was banned) that was released on Friday. Belly laughs. Anyone else read it?
