The one thing I don't like
about books on audio is that I have no sense of when I'll be finished. I don't know how many chapters/pages I have left to go.
The ending of Dead Until Dark really snuck up on me, and now I'm wondering how many chapters I have left in Vampire Academy. I'm currently on 12 or 13.
I don't know why this is such a big deal for me, but it is.

I have never listened to an audio book but I can totally see what you are saying! That would bug the crap outta me too as I always am peeking at how much I have left.

I never thought of that (haven't done books on tape), but that's a good point. I think that would bug me too.

This is me too, so with audio I can't do that, unless there is something I'm totally missing. I see on my ipod that it kind of tells where I am in minutes, etc. However now it is doing something with a minus, so ... I have no idea. It was a little easier with my Twilight CD's when I figured out that each had about 17 sections (a few minutes long of each)

LOL I don't do the audio books so I would not know... but can imagine how frustrating that could be. LOL

Ok, I think I had a breakthrough here!
I've been trying to figure out the whole ipod timing thing and I think I may have an answer. I remembered that Vampire Academy was supposed to be a little over 8 hours. I kept an eye on it ocassionally and I'm pretty sure one side shows how much I've listened to, and the other is showing how much I have left. I'm pretty sure I have about about 2.5 hours left.
Of course I still have no idea, chapter wise or page wise. I do know I'm just getting started on Chapter 17, but no idea how many there are. Understanding the timing helps a little though!
So there you go, I'm certain I've analyzed this all way too much now.
