    Default Outlander.

Who here has read it? I must say it took me a LONG time to get into the book, I'm about 550 pages into it and I'd say the last 20 pages are so is what really started grabbing my attention. It takes forever it seems for the story to really start unfolding & the tension to build ~ but now I gotta say it's a pretty good story! Anyone else here go through the same thing, when first reading the book? Are the others like this? At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to erad the others due to my mild dislike (but too stubborn to stop reading lol) of the book ~ but now I think I will.

I'm reading the series right now (currently on book 5 - The Fiery Cross). I was hooked pretty early on into Outlander. It isn't the same kind of "gotta read" obsession as the Twilight Saga, but has still held me enough that I'm on book 5. I started reading Outlander the 2nd week of Dec.
There is something about words. In expert hands, manipulated deftly, they take you prisoner. Wind themselves around your limbs like spider silk, and when you are so enthralled you cannot move, they pierce your skin, enter your blood, numb your thoughts. Inside you they work their magic. ~ The Thirteenth Tale

I've loved the series for years! The only one I haven't read yet is A Breath of Snow and Ashes. With the first book, it took me a little while to get into it, but I was pretty much grabbed by the time she met Jamie. I can't remember if it's the 2nd or 3rd, but one of the two starts oddly and it threw me for a loop. However, they are all amazing!

    Congrats on the pregnancy!!!
