I FINALLY started reading this. Its only been on my TBR list since last May! The first couple chapters I thought were hilarious with the zombie part thrown in. Now, I'm really missing my straight Jane Austen. I'm having a hard time getting through it - to the point that I put it down and am now reading something else. Anyone else read it? What did you think? Maybe I just need to be in the right mood when reading it.
There is something about words. In expert hands, manipulated deftly, they take you prisoner. Wind themselves around your limbs like spider silk, and when you are so enthralled you cannot move, they pierce your skin, enter your blood, numb your thoughts. Inside you they work their magic. ~ The Thirteenth Tale
I don't even have the drive to pick it up...and many friend have told me to give it a try. But I love my Jane Austin as is. I'm not sure I could take it with the Zombies added in...which sounds crazy seeing as those are some of my favorite books! Oh well. Maybe one day I'll attempt it, just not yet. Not ready for it.
