Obviously, Twilight is top on the list for many right now lol But I'm curious what other books grabbed your attention in similar ways as Twilight? How many times did you read the book? And what was it that made you fall in love with it?
Mama to 7 curious, wild & wonderful little ones ♥
When i was a teenager i read the Vampire Diaries series many times, still have them and just recently reread the first 2 of them again, not as drawing as it used to be but still.
I've read Harry Potter multiple times,Season of Passage, Christopher Golden's Vampire Series.
I've listened to a few audio books multiple times, The Rookie, Earth Core, Infected (listened twice read once), Ansestor, Nocturnal, Morevi, The Share Series, Heaven Series.
ETA: Awesome Question!!
I think the Twilight series books are the only books I've ever been obsessed with. I rarely ever re-read anything, as there is always something new I want to read. Twilight is probably the only book I've ever read multiple times. I can only think of one or two that I have actually read twice in all the years I've been an avid reader.
As a teen I did read anything I could get my hands on by Christopher Pike. That was the closest thing to obsession I can think of.
Now there have been some books that I would like to re-read again, and that left a lasting impression. Just a few:
Gone With the Wind
To Kill a Mockingbird
Midwives (Chris Bohjalian) -- probably one of the best books I've read in my adult life.
The Red Tent
The Thirteenth Tale
Wait Till Helen Comes
Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas
There are just so many great books out there, classics & contemporary, that I've not gotten my hands on yet, so it doesn't leave a lot of time for re-reading the favorites. With Twilight I've been listening to it, and want the rest of the series on audio as well. It works well that I can do things like grades, knitting, etc. while I listen, since it is something I've already read. If I happen to lose it a second and get more involved with the task at hand, I can pick right back up since I'm so familiar with it.
Oh wow Season of Passage by Christopher Pike, I've not read that in ages. I used to read his stuff ALL the time.
I've not heard of Vampire Diaries series, might have to check that out. Who is the author? I've also not heard of any of the other books you mentioned, gosh I have a lot to read now! LOL
I think the only other book I found myself infatuated with, as I am with the TS was called Cowboy Dreams when I was a kid. There were only two books in the series I still own the first one. I have often though I should go back and read it, to see if I get the same emotions lol Sometimes though, I admit, it kinda bugs me how much I like Twilight lol
You guys have listed some great books though, I'm going to look into them this week. I read To Kill a Mockingbird while in HS but not again. I've never read Wuthering Heights, as mentioned in Twilight and have though about checking that one out too.
ETA: I forgot to mention that I read The Red Tent in about a day n' a half lol It was an excellent book!

I've re-read the "Twilight" Series 3-4 times and love it. "Harry Potter" is another that I've read countless times. Riley Jenson Guardian Series, and the early Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series. Those are some of the big ones. There are several others I would like to re again, but just don't have the time right now. Especially since I have a like 5 page list of others books that I really want to read right now.
I wouldn't say Twilight has hit the "obsession" level for me- fun read, sure, but... I'm not passionate about it.
I am and forever will be a Tolkien nut. All things Tolkien (Silmarrillion and Children of Hurin included).
For some odd reason I also love to read and reread Dragonriders of Pern by Anne Mccaffrey. No idea why, but I've loved those books since I was 13 or so.
Other books I am passionate about: Les Miserables (my all-time fave), Count of Monte Cristo, Tale of Two Cities, The Little Prince, Chronicles of Narnia.
Such a fun thread! Love seeing the variety of books you ladies love!
I am definitely Twilight obsessed. A student had Eclipse on her desk today, and when I caught sight of it, I couldn't help but smile. When I was making my rounds later during the assignment, I couldn't help ask her about it. I was a little disappointed *for her* that she hasn't read Twilight or NM yet. She said she was enjoying Eclipse, and I told her she'd love Twilight & NM too.
