Sorry, Just Had To...

start a thread about Phillipa Gregory. I don't think that should be a problem, as she is our *Pick* for March.

Can I just say that I am so in love with her style of writing. I don't really know if it is her style, or just her though!

I just finished Wideacre, the 2nd in her Trilogy. Her second novel written. OMG. I can totally place myself in her surroundings of the story.

I did find that with "The Other Bolyn Girl" too, which is what made me start reading more from her.

I seriously, without a doubt, recommend ANYTHING by her 100 times!!

Has any else read anything other than TOBG?

What author excites you?

I haven't started the selection yet, and so for haven't read anything by her, but have heard good things! I'm excited to read it and see the movie. Had actually planned to go to the movies last Friday, but neither of our theaters were playing it. Sad

I really want to see the movie too, but my SO is so *against* these kinda movies & I won't go alone!

I have heard not so good things about the movie though {I never did understand why NP & SJ were given the roles they play}, makes muchmore sense for a reversal, IMO. :dontknow:

I read the Boelyn Inheritance and I thought it was good, but not as good as TOBG

I just saw the movie and surprisingly they both did very good in the roles they played. I was surprised. I didn't think either could pull it off, but they did.

I still wish the movie would have been more true to the book and/or history Wink It didnt' really follow either too closely.

I have never read anything by this author. Actually I tend to only stay in my safe zone, so to speak. So this board is helping me branch out.
