    Default What type?

What type of book are you currently "into"? Mysteries/suspense, action/drama, romance, documentaries/biographies? Something else?

Do you tend to go through spurts of varying interests? (<--- This is me! LOL)

    Feel free to share!

I am like you, a wide variety of interests but sometimes going through spurts of particular interests. I don't really read many romance, westerns or conventional mysteries (although I love a book that has a good mystery within the story), but I love mostly all other genres. I'm a big historical fiction fan, and love books that pair a great story with tidbits of interesting information about a culture I know little about. But for me, the biggest thing to grab me in a book is a really good story.

I am a total horror geek! I usually don't stray too far from that, and If I do, it is more of the Sci/Fantasy stuff. Oh, and Hunger Games LOL. Whatever that falls into? Love the Hunger Games!
    I'm back, baby.

I like Christian romance, young adult stuff like Pretty Little Liars.. Stuff like Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood. I also like some horror, just on the very edge of it.. haha suspenseful stuff. I love Dean Koontz.

I'm definitely a sci-fi/fantasy geek! Just got up to date on The Dresden Files, and waiting not-so-patiently for the next book there, in the Song of Fire and Ice series (Game of Thrones, etc) , and The Name of the Wind series. Gotta start reading some series that are FINISHED!!!!

Have you read the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan ( and now Brandon Sanderson )?. You may like those. It isn't finished yet. I think 2 to go, maybe 1. But, there are 13 available now to read. My husband loves them. I read the first 6 and need to finish them but my to read list is already so huge, I don't know when i will get back to them.

I love paranormal books. Anita Blake, Kitty Norville, Cat Crawford, Riley Jenson, Black Dagger Brotherhood, Night Creatures...Love them! That being said I really enjoy a good mystery all around. Love Dan Brown's books...all of them! Also really loved the Fifty Shades Trilogy. I think my biggest 'type' are series! I prefer having a series to read and keep up with instead of stand alone novels. I prefer the depth you can delve with a character over multiple books, something you don't always get with a stand alone novel.
