BC Women's Hospital Research: Pregnant Volunteers Needed
Are you pregnant?
If you are a healthy pregnant woman, or a pregnant woman experiencing depression, you are invited to participate in our study.
Help us learn more about depression and the effects of the medications 'selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors' (SSRIs) or other medications that are prescribed to treat depression during pregnancy.
Why be apart of our study?
We hope that new information from this study may help improve treatment of depression during and following pregnancy and the health of infants exposed to these medications.
Your participation will provide you with a unique opportunity to learn about your health and your baby's development while helping answer some research questions.
You may qualify if you:
- Are a healthy pregnant woman or
- Are a pregnant woman experiencing depression without treatment of antidepressant medication or
- Are a pregnant woman experiencing depression and treated with antidepressant medication
- Delivery must be at home or at BC Children's & Women's Hospital.
You will receive an honorarium for participating in this study.
If you are interested in participating or have questions about the study, please contact the Research Coordinator at 604-875-2392 or email us at fetalstudy2(at)gmail.com
