I'm so sad to hear that he passed away this morning. He was an amazing man. Been watching the news all day. He really, truly was in his prime. I'm just glad he got to see the NDP get so far.

Very sad news. I never voted for him but it is nice that he could finally see his party succeed.

Very sad news, indeed. He was a fantastic leader, and the NDP is what it is because of him. Wishing peace and comfort for his family, friends, and staff.

I can't say I'm totally surprised... the pictures of him a month or so ago when he announced he was taking a break until September due to the new cancer, he didn't look good at all. I am very shocked at how quickly it happened though.
