Man that was a good game
Only 1 more- yay!!! I love the pass Henrik made through Niemi's legs to Burrow for that 4th goal, that was awesome!!
Excellent game... minus the refs throwing us in the penalty box 90% of the time
Here's hoping we can end the series tonight!!!! :woohoo:
HOLY SHIZAH that was just unbelievably incredible!!!!!!!!
I nearly wet my pants when we scored with 13 seconds left to tie it! When Bieksa got the OT goal I ran outside and screamed. I went to the edge of my driveway and could see(and hear!) my sister (who lives 3 houses down) jumping up and down screaming on her front porch HAHA! They do that because they don't want to wake up their 10 mo. old.
LOL both my kids were still up
I am just so excited right now. I can't believe it. We are going to the finals!!
17 years to the day, game 5 again, double OT again.
I have my fingers crossed for Boston. That would be an incredible series
UGH! That was nerve-wracking!!!! I stayed up to watch it all (that was til almost 1 a.m. ET) *insert bleery-eyed emote*
I imagine we'll end up meeting Boston (barring a miracle) but I have this probably mistaken idea that Tampa Bay could be *slightly* easier LOL I just can't picture us beating Boston... can we?
After 8 days, finally, more hockey
Hooray!!! I was beginning to have nightmares of 2 or 3 OT periods, when we scored I breathed a huge sigh of relief!
13 down, 3 more to go.
I bought another car flag today. I need one that says "2011 Western Conference Champions" on it, right? Haha.
I really hope it goes to seven game though. Colin and I have tickets to Game 7. I would LOVE to be there in person to see them win the cup. OMG, I would die. Nah, but I probably would wet my pants LOL!
2 down... 2 to go! :woohoo:
I hate the nailbiters though! I want a nice decisive 8-0 win (that was ds's projected score for last night )
Hoping and praying Vancouver does better tonight than Monday night!!!!!! Dh thinks they'll win and then win the cup in Vancouver. I hope he's right.
... or not. Ugh. Just... ugh!
Barely 5 minutes to go in the 3rd and 4-0 Boston :bluesad:
After these last 2 games, I can't say I'm upset that I missed them. We've had baseball both nights. I'm looking forward to Friday when I can just sit and veg, watching hockey
Colin says it's my fault they lost because I wasn't watching the games. Putz.
Ugh. These last two games were just awful. I felt like I was watching a wrestling match instead of a hockey game. Hopefully things will settle down for game 5.
OK... that was a MUCH better game! :woohoo: 3-2 series lead! Now PLEASE, Vancouver, don't stress us out anymore... BRING HOME THE CUP MONDAY NIGHT!!
Whooo hooooooo!!!!!! :woohoo:
Monday is going to be awesome! I hope I can sneak out of the ball game hahaha!
Although...... EA Sports has been right so far, they said home team would win every game this series. They were right about a Vancouver/Boston final, and this was before the season even started. The only thing they messed up is they said Detroit would beat San Jose. So, I am fully prepared for us to lose in Boston on Monday. And then I am fully prepared to go settle my butt in section 325, row 7, seat 7 on Wednesday night to watch my boys win their first Stanley Cup!!!!!!!
Don Cherry has predicted a Vancouver cup win (even though he's a big Boston fan)... but I forget how many games he predicted it in. He also predicted Vancouver would win last night... don't know what he said for the other nights. Guess we'll find out how accurate he is.
I would LOVE for us to win in Boston... simply to shove it in their faces However, a win at home would be really nice too....
Who's watching tonight?
GO CANUCKS GO!
My Name is Johnny Canuck
I'm sorry but this is ridiculous! How can we play SO WELL (especially Luongo) in Vancouver and then totally fall apart every time we play in Boston? Just seems... funny.
Both teams are just so good at home. I don't know what it is with Luongo. But as long as he plays like he usually does on Wed. then I don't care what he's been doing in Boston
I cannot WAIT to get downtown on Wed. The atmosphere is just going to be electric. I'm freakin' stoked
Even if by some wierd fluke Boston ends up winning, Colin and I have decided that we will stay and watch the Cup be presented. I mean, how many times in your life do you think you ever get that chance? But no worries, Henrik Sedin is going to be hoisting it.
So ds (he's not-quite-6) wants to stay up to watch the game tonight. He has soccer 7-8 and the game starts at 8, so we'll miss the first few minutes of the first period. I told him this a.m. that if he had a nap as soon as he comes home from school (and by nap I meant SLEEP... not just laying there quietly) he could stay up. I didn't really think he'd go for it even though he agreed. Well... he came home, went outside for about 5 minutes to play, then came in... and is currently (and has been for an hour now) totally crashed out/snoring in his bed LOL
We're lucky that the game is so early for us! I'm so nervous I feel a little sick to my stomach... lol
Not impressed with Vancouver at all. I hate to be a pessamist but I can't see us getting 4 goals on Thomas to win this thing.
Aaaaagggghhhhh! That was just heartbreaking.
We had such a wonderful season. I think the Canucks just didn't show up to that game. I mean, Tim Thomas is a great goalie and all, but still.
And the worst- all that rioting. What a joke. It makes me so angry that the media keeps saying "Canucks fans rioting after the loss, blah blah blah", yeah, those people are not fans. They are idiot troublemakers. I don't like being lumped into the same category as them.
Luckily we parked in the opposite direction from the arena as all the lunacy, so we didn't have to see any of it. Coming out of the arena we wouldn't have even known except for texts from friends.
It was just ridiculous. Shameful.
Anyways, we stayed and watched the Cup presentation, we waited until Lucic hoisted the cup(former Vancouver Giant) and then we left. I'm glad we didn't sell our tickets(even though we could've gotten like $3000+ for them!)
I firmly believe we have a good team, and hopefully management won't trade them all away. I mean come on, you don't make it all the way to Game 7 of the final with a mediocre team. I'm already looking forward to next season

This! I hate that news sources are calling these people fans. Not even close.
On a happier note, have you guys checked out the stories of Vancouverites helping the downtown clean up? Pretty awesome.
