Summer Check In!

I know everybody's busy but just checking to see who's still kicking around... also, if you may have noticed that Missy moved the location of the board to the Parenting Groups section... so if you don't have it bookmarked, do so or know anybody who can't find it, let them know! :)

Crazy busy here so I'm kind of MIA a lot right now... but trying to check into PO when I can. Anybody have Summer plans? We've got soccer and track & field camps, swimming lessons, riding camp for my daughter, a family reunion, and African Lion Safari planned so far :)

Hey Marla!! Had hard time finding our board!!! I was MIA for a while (busy busy) but now I'm back on a regular basic since I am pregnant with my second child!!! We are due in January!
As for summer plans: swimming, camping, biking, playing at local schools parks!!
And a trip to Niagara Falls at the end of the month! Niagara Safari, Marinland and maybe Great Wolf Lodge!
Fun fun fun!

My updates:

Robbie is done grade 1 and off to grade 2 in the summer
Still trying for another baby, appointment with the fertility clinic August 30th
My mom is in palliative care, a month ago the doctors thought it was the end, she is back eating so don't know when
may try returning to work and see how the jaw goes

I'm loving this weather... even though we've been pushing the 30's/above 30 with the humidity (supposed to be 32/36 with humidity today. I can live with this. I'm so not a cold weather person! LOL

I was bored today and just found this part of the forums, thought I'd come in and say hi to some fellow Canadians. I am in Ontario, about an hour north of Toronto.

I have two girls 13 and 3, and a house full of fur-babies 2 cats, 2 dogs (1 of those dogs we are fostering as a trial before adopting).

Summers are pretty quiet for me, DD2 is doing a 10 week soccer skills program through the city but no plans other than that. DD1 plays rep hockey fall - spring so that's when things really get crazy.

:wavehello: Welcome! Been a busy summer so I'm not a very good host right now :( We don't have a very busy board but feel free to jump in! We need to try to get things moving here I think LOL I'm about 4 hours (maybe 3.5 now that they've FINALLY completed the 4-laning) north of Toronto... lived in Orillia for about 3 years and would love to live there again :)

Hi Amanda, welcome! I'm way up North in Ontario. Visited TO and Niagara Falls this summer and my son LOVED it of course!! Going back to work in 2 days... omg!! Vacations over for me but it's ok, I'll be back for 4 months then it's baby time!! =)

I am Margaret and currently live in Edmonton. I was born in Oshawa, raised in Whitby and went to university in Peterborough. All my family is back there.

Summer has been quiet, Robbie has been going to day camps. I am tired of going to appointments.

Not much else going on.
