Yeah Canada!

Hi fellow Canadians!

I haven't been around this board in forever!
I'm hoping that my life will calm down enough to allow me some leisure time (aka computer time).

I'm from Ontario, I have 3 kids, 2 jobs (both part-time), 1 husband, and I like photography biking, and kite flying.

Good to meet you Smile

:wavehello: Welcome back!

I'm also in Ontario (northern) and have 2 kids... an almost 10-year-old dd and 6-year-old ds. Only 4.5 weeks til school goes back! LOL!

We're kind of quiet here but feel free to jump in... the more the merrier! It's nice to have a little Canadian "oasis" here where we can discuss poutine, double-doubles, and add our so-called "extra" U's without people wondering what the heck we're talking about ROFL

Another Ontarian (is that how you spell it) here. Smile

Funnyily enough I was talking to some people yesterday about how we Canadians love to complain about our weather. It's always too hot or too cold or too snowy or too rainy!

and the best part of the Canadian board if there's any discussion about money we spell cheque correctly. I get so confused when Americans talk about paychecks. I'm always thinking what the heck are they checking???? Smile

Hi! I live in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. I'm not a native Canadian (I'm from Texas), so I hope not to throw you off with my weird spellings... lol

That's OK... we'll be happy to teach you... and the fact that you're willing to live in the Great White North and know about timbits and double-doubles gives you bonus points, eh? Wink

Wow Ontario, way to represent! Lots of you folks are from there.

I live in Regina, Saskatchewan, with my DH of 6 years and 2 little monkeys. DD Ella just turned 4 and DS Eli is 2.5. Baby #3 is arriving in November!

I have been neglectful of this board lately too, I'll try to remember to pop on more often!

Are you a born and raised Prairie girl? Smile

My mom was born in Biggar, Sask. Can never remember if my Papa was born in, or was RCMP in Yorkton, one or the other, and my great-uncle still lives in Rocanville.

Sure am! I lived in Winnipeg until I was 14, and have lived in Regina ever since.

Here's something funny - until I was 22 and visited Toronto with my DH on a "babymoon" before DD arrived, the furthest East in Canada I had ever been was.....Kenora, ON.

Thankfully I got to visit the East coast the next year, so I don't feel quite as bad for not even seeing my country!

I went to a tiny little Bible College in Moose Jaw. It's where I met my DH. We used to drive into Regina all the time. Smile
