Please Vote (FREE) -- Support Flood Relief Efforts!

Hi All:

I’m asking a favor! As some of you are aware, my home town of Minot, North Dakota has been devastated by a record breaking flood. There are over 12,000 people evacuated from their homes (including my parents) with as many as 4200 homes flooded – estimates are that at least close to 1,000 of those homes will be condemned (my Aunt/Uncle’s home likely included). The flooding also destroyed several businesses, churches, public and private schools and other infrastructure.

It has recently been brought to the attention of Minot officials, that Coca Cola is sponsoring an America’s favorite park contest. They will be giving a grant to the top 3 vote getters (100,000 ~~ 50,000 ~~ and 25,000 respectively)!

Would you please consider voting for Oak Park in Minot, North Dakota; they could definitely use the win to help fund recovery efforts. This park is used by lots of families in the Minot area and is the only park in the area that has a special playground / enrichment area designed for special needs individuals. The park was destroyed by the flood.

At the present time, thanks to dedicated efforts of Minot residents, family and friends, Minot’s Oak Park has moved into the #1 spot (from 70 just a week ago -- and the contest started over a month prior to us learning about this)! However, we need to retain one of the top 3 spots in order to win the grant!

You can vote as many times each day as you want from now until September 6th. To vote for Minot, just click this link!

Your vote(s) is / are free and just costs a few seconds of your time! If you would please share this with your friends and family and ask for their help in spreading the word, it would be greatly appreciated!
