Week of 8/31 - Time Management
Lord, the responsibilities and demands of my life seem overwhelming at times. Many days I feel as if my life is running me instead of me running it. Please help me in the selection and management of the right priorities for my life. Help me to not procrastinate but to be diligent to fulfill my responsibilities in a timely manner.
Lord, help me to set boundaries and not overcommit. Above all, help me to make sure I make time for You first. Help me to set my schedule so that prayer, worship, and Scripture study are a prominent part of my day.
Help me redeem the time to find ways to be more effective and efficient in my daily activities. Give me strength to say no to requests and activities that threaten to steal time from my higher priorities. If I start to slip out of my schedule or begin to neglect my priorities, then speak to my heart and prompt me to stay on track. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen
Week of 9/28 - Prayer of Thomas Merton
My Lord God, I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think that I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this, you will lead me by the right road, though I may know nothing about it. Therefore, will I trust in you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever with me, and you will never leave me to face my perils alone.
Week of 11/2 - Prayer for the President
Dear Father, in Jesus' name, I lift up our nation's president to You. I know that our leader's heart is in Your hand, so I ask You to guide the head of our nation in the way You would have him to go.
Give our president spiritual, physical, and mental strength to fulfill his responsibilities with excellence. Give him the courage to stand up for his convictions. Give him patience and peace to endure the pressures of his office.
Help him to be resolute and determined to do the right thing no matter how much pressure he feels from those who oppose him. Grant to our president wisdom and insight concerning every decision that he must make. Give him boldness to lead our nation with integrity and honor.
I pray that You would give our president discernment, understanding, and knowledge so that our nation may know stability, both internally and abroad.
I pray that You would surround our president with wise counsel, godly men and women of integrity who place Your agenda and the good of this nation above their own, people whose motives are pure, honest, and trustworthy.
I pray for our president's family. Encourage and stregthen their spirits, souls and bodies. Protect them from evil and harm. Help them to be supportive of the president, and give them the strength to deal with the pressures and demands of being the First Family.
I give thanks for our president according to Your Word, and thank You for working in and through his leadership so that we might lead peaceable lives in godliness and honesty. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen

Week of 12/1 - Prayer for your DH/SO and your life together
Dear Lord, thank you so much for the gift of this person in my life. You know how much I rely on him, and need him. Every Advent season, it is so easy to get caught up in the frantic pace of holiday life. Help me to love my spouse more unselfishly and to give without wondering what I get back. May this marriage you have called us into, be a way to glorify you in our lives, in every moment of this day. Bless our family and keep them all safe today. I ask this humbly and gratefully.

Prayers for the Unemployed
PRAYER FOR THE UNEMPLOYED
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, You wanted all who are weary to come to You for support. Lord, I am worn out by my inability to find work.
Guide my steps to a righteous path; give me the patience to find opportunities with a future.
Calm my worries and fears as my financial responsibilities mount.
Strengthen my resolve; embolden my heart to open doors; open my eyes to see life beyond rejections.
Help me believe in me.
Let me realize other ways to bring about Your kingdom on earth.
Let me grow as a person that I may be worthy for Your greater glory.
In the name of the Father.
Amen.
Prayer to St. Joseph for the Unemployed
O Saint Joseph, we pray to you for those who are out of work, for those who want to earn their living or support their families.
You who are the patron of workers; grant that unemployment may vanish from our ranks; that all those who are ready to work may put their strength and abilities in serving their fellowmen and earn a just salary.
You are the patron of families; do not let those who have children to support and raise lack the necessary means. Have pity on our brothers and sisters held down in unemployment and poverty because of sickness or social disorders. Help our political leaders and captains of industry find new and just solutions. May each and every one have the joy of contributing, according to his abilities, to the common prosperity by an honorable livelihood. Grant that we may all share together in the abundant goods God has given us and that we may help underprivileged countries. Amen.
St. Cajetan is the patron saint of the unemployed and job seekers.
