Ok girls, I just charted my first day sleep temp. As you remember, I mentioned that I work night shifts at the hospital. So I charted today at 4pm when I woke up. And my temp spiked really high. I know that it is really false. I know I didnt' "O". I was hoping somehow the charting would still work good even with shift work. What do you guys think of think of it?

The thing that stuck with me from the TCOYF book is that you are looking at the forest through the trees. So you are looking for an overall pattern to your chart. You might not see that until you have charted for a month or two so you can see what it looks like when you have been on nights for a few days.
Good luck!
I didn't realize you only worked the night shift on certain days. I was thinking before that you meant you worked the night shift every "day." Hmmm, this could prove to be a bit difficult since you will have a temp shift every time you go from working days to working nights. Especially if you happen to O right in the middle of switching from days to nights or vice versa.
However, maybe indicating "day sleeping" on your chart will help FF figure it out. If not, maybe you could just use OPKs and not worry about temping?![]()

Mary,
I have added "day sleeping". The temp I took this afternoon seems normal. I think that spike temp should be discarded? I did sleep in a sweatshirt (which I usually never do). I usually sleep in a tshirt. When I woke up, I was really hot. Today and yesterdays temps seem way more normal. Btw- can you see my stats when you look at my chart. I just adjusted the settings and hopefully it worked correctly. So I slept today, temped at 1430 and then I will temp tomorrow at 6 am.
