I have been charting for the past few years and have a 8 month old son. I got my AF back 2 months after having him and have been charting my temps since then. For the past 6 months i have been ovulating between day 21-23 and my AF has been starting on day 29/30.......My Dh and i are hoping to start trying for another baby once my son turns 1 but i am concerned that my luteal phase is not long enough for that to happen, is it possible that my hormones are still a little wonky from having my son and that it might take a little longer for my luteal phase to balance out?? I am ovulating and starting my AF like clock work which is worrying me that my luteal phase hasnt balanced out......prior to getting pregnant with my son i ovulated on day 14 or 15 and AF would arrive on day 28, i have always been text book so i dont know if i am worrying about something silly??
You aren't worrying for nothing. From what I understand (pretty new to this all) you need about a minimum of 9 days of luteal phase for the concieved baby to have time to implant.
I see that you are from Ontario. Did you mention this to your GP at all? I know there are prescriptions that can help you lengthen your luteal phase but I also know that sometimes up here, we have to struggle through one year of infertility before they will look at the problem. But maybe yours will be open to a converstation because you have your charts.
