If everything was perfect and you could have as many children as you wanted, how many would you want and why?

I originally wanted 3, but I think now I would be happy with just 2. Of course, if a miracle happened and God blessed us with twins, I wouldn't complain. But I would be happy with 2, so that my DD could have a sibling, and I think that's about all I would want to handle at my age, lol.![]()

haha.. probably a million! Just kidding. Especially over the last few days. My kids have been so ornery!
A real number- I would say four. That's how many we wanted from the beginning. I still would like four, but I think DH is probably going to fight for three. With all the problems with my back and TTC, I think the idea of me going through all of it twice again is scary to him.

I've always wanted to have 3. Just seems like a nice number of kids. DH was good with 2. Of course, at this point one would be spectacular in my book.![]()

I've always said 2, MAX! Lately though, we've been chatting more, and it seems as though we're both open to just go with what feels right. If it feels right at 2, we'll stop there, but if we just keep going and 3, 4, 5, or 6 feels right, we'll do that too! Can not believe that I just put that in writing, LOL!
It was kind of a huge moment for both of us, because we both only have 1 sibling each and know what it's like to be a family of 4. I've always said 2 is enough, he has always said 2, maybe 3.
I think when I was little and dreaming about my future family, I always saw it with 3 kids. But as I got older and started my career, I have been wanting 2. I still want 2. DH wants only one. I'm so hoping that he changes his mind and that we both get some good pay raises in the next year so we can make 2 happen. He just doesn't think we can afford 2, plus he is an only child and thinks 2 is just unheard of...haha. He is probably right about the affordability factor, but I don't care, I really really want 2 kiddos!
