Thanks for the prayers! Luckily I have a laptop, iphone and ipad to use to communicate with people. :) Just with all the medication I'm on my energy reserves and concentration levels are kind of low.
Thanks for sticking around here for me. :) Yeah, I technically haven't been trying 2+ years yet (only been 19 months) but the 0-24 months board feels like a revolving door. A lot of "oh no, it's been two cycles and I haven't gotten pregnant yet!" I'm not up for that! :)
Anyway, I am lying here in bed feeling completely helpless. lots of people are helping- taking the kids, cooking dinner, etc. I'm usually the one constantly giving help so I'm having a hard time adjusting. Oh, and it's finally hot here! Yesterday it got up to 96! And I can't enjoy it! I know it's way hotter than that everywhere else but we are not used to it. And I'm in an upstairs room with a little fan lying in bed.... I'm just a big pile of sweat! haha... eeew...
Oops, sorry I hadn't replied to your post yet, just been so busy. We have a new car! It's a Nissan Maxima. It only had one owner who took really good care of it. Drives like a dream! So thankful :)
Sorry about being laid up in bed feeling helpless. Do you have air conditioning? 90-degree heat is hot enough for me, and I live in FL! LOL. I can't tell you how much it means to me to have a car now so that I can have air conditioning. Driving around in DH's truck with no a/c with as hot as its been has been killer! I'm such a wimp, haha.
Sorry I've been MIA as well. Lots of issues lately...on that in a sec. DH and I just got back from a week in the Bahamas! We had a great time and really enjoyed the time away. We also got a HUGE surprise...we had booked a fairly modest room, at least in relative terms for this resort. ;-) We got a call the week before asking if we wanted to pay just a little bit more for a big upgrade. We said sure, but were a little bummed heading down there because it was on a part of the property where we would be away from the water. Well, when we got there...WOW...we got upgraded again to an amazing oceanview suite with butler service!!!!!! :yahoo: Were we ever spoiled! If you feel like looking at some of my (plentiful) pics, you can see them on my photobucket at http://s916.photobucket.com/albums/a...ahamas%202012/
We had a whole lot of time to just relax and enjoy each other's company and to talk about some things. And (*BIG BREATH*) I think our official TTC journey has reached an end. :-( DH really doesn't want to do IVF. And he's feeling a bit overwhelmed at the thought of a newborn at age 50, who won't graduate from HS until he is almost 70. I understand where he's coming from, and to be honest when I think about taking the pressure off I feel disappointment, but a certain amount of relief, too. It's been a helllish two years of this process for us, and very rough on us individually and as a couple. If feel comfortable (although still sad) saying "Let's just finally enjoy our marriage, and whether we do or don't get pg it'll be whatever was meant to be."
So JLIH it is. Since I'm a geek and like the charting thing, I'll probably hang around here and chat with you ladies. :-)
Elizabeth - I'm so sorry your back is giving you such a terrible time. I am SO glad that you have lots of people to help you. It's so hard to let others do for you when you are used to being the caretaker, but just accept the blessing of having such wonderful people when you need them! I hear you on not feeling like you fit in on the 0-24 board. I've hit the 2 years, and lurk on that board but don't really post on it.
Mary - Yay for the new car! That sounds wonderful! Ugh on no a/c...I cannot imagine not having it up here, let alone in Florida! July and August down there are horrendous!
Hi Jean! :D What a beautiful suite! So glad you got spoiled :cloud9: Sorry your DH didn't want to do IVF, but I'm glad you've made peace with JLIH. We are also JLIH (as you probably know), but we may as well be preventing because rarely do we 'hit a homerun' iykwim. I've made peace with our situation, too, and am actually looking forward to more freedom as my DD gets older. The car I bought says it all, I've accepted the fact that I'm going to be a one child mom and am back to driving a car, vs. a mini-van. It's just big enough for me and my DD (and my DH when we all ride together somewhere, like church). It's 'sporty,' too, which is an added plus :)
Elizabeth- how are you? Thinking of you and hoping you're doing okay.
