Mary, mmmm...pop tarts! I haven't had one in years! Yum! lol I ended up eating a turkey and cheddar melt. Sounds like you guys have been getting a lot of rain. Hopefully you won't have as many wildfires this summer. Mmm...beef stew sounds really good. We had sushi last night and I'm sure I've gained a few lbs from all the sodium. That's okay....I've actually lost 3 lbs since I found out. Weird.

Jean, I understand. I had the same fears but in the end we decided to do it and I'm actually really glad that we did. The results were definitely shocking and unexpected. If you're interested in my experience with pgd, I'd be more than happy to share. Anyway, I wish the best of luck with your ivf journey and hope to see a sticky bfp in the near future!

Morning ladies A bit more rain around this morning, made for a nice 3-mile run since I didn't get up early to go before my DD went to school (again ). Either I had a better run because it wasn't as hot due to the clouds and light rain, or... maybe I'm finally getting stronger?

Monday my training plan has me running my very first 4-mile run. I'm not too sure I'll be able to run the entire 4 miles without stopping, but it's okay, as long as I'm putting in the effort, that's what counts.

Jina - That is weird that you lost 3 lbs, maybe it's just because your metabolism speeds up when you're pg. How are you feeling today?

    Hey ladies!

Mary - I vote for you being stronger! I'm hoping to eventually get to being able to run. For right now I'm working up to walking for serious periods of time. I'm so impressed with what you've accomplished running!

Jina - I would love to hear your experience with PGD! Feel free to PM me if you want. Did you have to do ICSI with your PGD? I think if it was just the screening, we'd do it. Especially since they do day 5 screening instead of day 3. But 2 sets of manipulations, each with it's own risk, just scares us. We'll see. If we aren't successful we might reconsider it, but I just don't know right now.

AFM - Fairly quiet day at school. The only concert I have left is my jazz band, and that one is fun to prepare for and to perform. 2 weeks left!!!! I can't wait for vacation!

Hi girls! I haven't been able to log in because my computer kept showing this website as a bunch of random letters and numbers

All of your food sounds amazing! We just had homemade pizza. It was delicious. We have this special pizza we make with a barbecue ranch sauce, granny smith apples, bacon, green onions, and cheddar cheese. It's soooo good!

So I went to the doctor yesterday and got some not so great news. I have scoliosis, lordosis and arthritis in my lumbar spine and SI joints. Waiting to go get an MRI and go to the spine clinic in Vancouver. DH's SA came back completely normal, but my Dr. won't move forward with any other tests since I'm having so many problems with my spine. I'll probably have to have surgery on my neck and lower back.

But, we've decided to go ahead with TTC and if I get pregnant, I'll wait until after the baby's born to move forward with the surgeries. I figure the arthritis will only get worse so the sooner I'm done having kids the better.

So, that's me in a nutshell. I think that's the bad news I have for now so I'll quit being a negative Nancy.

Elizabeth - That pizza sounds really yummy! OUCH on your back issues!!!! My sister has had chronic issues with her back like that. She had surgery in 2003 (I think) and it was a lot better for a long time. I hope they can get you sorted out quickly.

AFM it's a lovely Saturday here. I stayed up late last night flipping between all the sports channels and just enjoying the great night for my beloved Mets and Johan Santana's no-hitter! Happy baseball fan here! We've just been doing our usual Saturday things today. Nothing exciting, but that can be good too.

Jean - thanks, I hope you're right that I'm getting stronger. I was in a Jazz band in high school, played the trumpet. So much fun! Glad you enjoyed your Saturday.

Elizabeth - Yikes about the back issues! I'll be sending up a prayer for you. Glad DH's SA came back normal, that's one less thing to worry about.

AFM, fun day here! Met up with my brother at the beach and my DD played with her 3-yr old cousin, then they had to leave and my DD and I "swam" in the tidal pool that had formed on the beach. I had put on sunscreen (the spray kind) but apparently forgot to do my back because I wound up with a nice sunburn there. Good one, Mary Then we went to Chili's for dinner. I had a gift card so we used it tonight.

Oh, and for those who didn't see it on my post elsewhere on p.org, we got new kittens yesterday! Two little sweeties, 7 weeks old.

Mary- EEE!! Those kittens are so cute! I just want to squeeze them (in a gentle way, of course). Sounds like you had a fun day with DD.

I had a pretty good weekend. We drove to the nearest city on Saturday- went to Costco and then I went to a new store and actually bought some clothes for myself. It was great! Then yesterday we had a barbecue at our church and everyone stayed until 7 at night talking, eating and playing baseball. But, now I'm behind on my prep work and I have a huuuuge pile of laundry!

ETA- I just heard from the MRI department in Alberta I have to go to. They booked my appointment for October 17th. I can barely move. It's going to be a long summer.

Elizabeth- thanks for commiserating about DHs. Things are definitely getting better, I think we were both cranky. Hey, I was having log in issues as well. I had to delete my history and all my cookies, etc and I can finally get back on. Sorry to hear about your diagnosis… I really hope that the TTC on your own will be successful.

Jean- what happened with your dinner? The mushroom ravioli sounds delicious.

Jina- I so didn’t O according to FF. And now my tests have gotten darker again. I will post a pic for you. I am just bummed now because our timing was good before and now… not so much. This month is it for us… DH has pulled the plug.

Mary- all your talk (and Jean’s) about food has me starving! Loving the pic of the kitties! Did you run today? The 4miles? I am thinking of you. I am planning on getting in a run tonight.

AFM- I think I am o’ing now. Looks like last week, it was a fluke? I don’t know. I sure wish we had O’ed last week as the BD timing was better, but maybe things aren’t meant to be. Take a look below and please give me your thoughts...

Here was last weeks positive... (ok, well I thought it was)

    Then just now:

I started a juicing fast yesterday. All fruits and veggies for the next 6 days is my goal. I will try not to babble on about it.

Had a great weekend with my kiddos. My sister, niece, and nephews were up visiting and that was actually horrible… but I will write about that in my journal. I do think that it may be better for me not to be around people who are ungrateful for their kids because I get very upset.

Mary, adorable kitten!!! How have you been? I haven't seen you around a whole lot. I hope you are well! I'm glad you had fun at the beach! You're so lucky that you live so close to one!

Jean, I sent you a PM.

Elizabeth, wow, I'm so sorry about your back! I'm sorry you have to wait a few months for your MRI. Is there a cancellation list you can get on? I hope you're not in constant pain....can you take anything? I'm glad your DH's SA came back normal. I don't think you're being a negative Nancy at all. I'm praying for a sticky bfp for you!!

Kim, Sorry about the confusing cycle. With eiter O date, your timing is great! I'm sorry that your DH is pulling the plug....is he open to jlih? ((hugs))

Elizabeth - sounds like you had a very nice weekend Sorry about the MRI not being until October! You poor thing. That is a long wait. Any way you could call and beg with tears for a sooner date? lol.

Kim - The second opk definitely looks positive, whereas the first one is questionable. Glad you had good timing either way! No worries about babbling about the juicing. I'd love to hear about it. Sorry about the 'ungrateful' parents, that must be so tough to deal with. Good thing you don't have to be around them.

Jina - I'm doing okay, just been busy lately. How are you feeling? Are you still trying to do 'mostly' Paleo?

AFM, I ran 4 miles for the first time yesterday, and it went well. Much better than I expected! I ran at a slower pace, but I didn't care, as long as I completed it without stopping! It felt really good that I was able to do it

Today was Hannah's Pre-K graduation party. At one point they took them to where the bouncy houses were set up, and I was so proud of her when she decided to finally overcome her phobia of bouncy houses and actually go in one to play! She's always been afraid of them up to today.

Tomorrow is the actual graduation. She'll be performing on stage with her class, singing songs about leaving preschool and heading for kindergarten. I'd better bring a box of tissues with me. lol.
