Hi ladies, I'm new to this thread. I'm Sophia, I have a 27 mth old DD who is now into the terrible two's and testing every boundary she can! While on vacay!

I chart tho I must admit it's not been very good this last cycle just ended, as DD has been in our bed at some pt during the nite due to nightmares so my temps are so not accurate lately. And this cycle won't be a very good one either as I'm still on vacay, and no bbt thermometer. However I still track my OPKs and HPTs.

I'm glad to be here. I've been TTC #2 since Aug 2009.

Congrats Shyla!

Jenna, I noticed my temps had a greater range vaginally but I also never questioned if they were right. There was also usually a huge difference between the oral and vaginal temps but funny, on some days they would actually be close. Weird.

Sophia~ I hope your DD can get to a better place with sleeping. That has to be tiring for you.

Welcome, Sophia! So glad to have you chatting with us Smile Sorry to hear your DD is still having nightmares. Any idea what could be causing them?

Hi Ashley, Hi Christina :wavehello: How are you guys feeling? Latest symptoms?

Ashley, how's the job coming along?

Christina, how's the business?

Hey to everyone else Smile

I haven't decided yet whether or not to temp this cycle.

In other news, I did the 20-min run again today, but had to stop briefly to walk during the last 3 minutes because my right hip/leg/back area tightened up pretty bad and started hurting and I didn't want to push it and risk my back going out again. I didn't make it to 2 miles again, either, just 1.8. I started out at a great pace, but couldn't keep it up for the duration. It's okay, though, I'll just do a repeat on Monday and hopefully do better.

Welcome Sophia! Sorry to hear about your little one. Mine is 2.5 yo too and he's dealing with nightmares. Horrible to see them going through it Sad

I've never tried vaginal temping, hope it gets less wonky for you Jenna.

Awesome running Mary! I remember the first time I ran for 3 minutes straight. You would have thought I won a marathon LOL!

I feel so out of it this cycle. I have only done one OPK because I didn't want to waste any and I normally O around CD17. I am going to start doing two today. Naturally, I'm worried about getting my surge tomorrow because the clinic is closed Monday, but I think I will be going in for my IUI on Wednesday if all works out well.

As for my temps.... My vag ones are still weird but my oral ones seem to match the pattern. They both drop and rise together. I have been temping at the same time. But a few nights I got really broken sleep. As long as I catch my O spike I will be happy.

Jenna- if it happens earlier, just BD like crazy, ok? You're temp is pretty low today so if it were me I would have some insurance BD today, and tomorrow just in case. But again, I guess that depends on your OPKs.

If they do go positive tomorrow, BD twice and then do the IUI on Tuesday along with another session on Tuesday night. At least that would be my plan. Wink

Jenna- You are getting soooo close to go time. How do the OPKs look? Close? It never hurts to "practice" Wink

Shyla- YAYAYYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYA Congrats again Smile

Mary- Sorry for AF but WAY TO GO on your weight loss. You are doing SO AWESOME and should be super proud of yourself.

Sophia- oooh nice to see a new face Smile I hope this is your lucky month!

BD like crazy, check. Hahaha. But I like your plan Christina and I think that's what we will do! Smile

My OPKs are still pretty negative today. I hope to see them start darkening up tomorrow!

Christina, I like your "plan" for Jenna, and I agree. Man, it sure would be nice if DH and I were able to BD like that. We just aren't, for various reasons. By the way, you didn't answer my question Smile How are you feeling, and what's the latest and greatest with your business? Also, I meant to ask you this before: Did you stop taking the Maca as soon as you found out you were pg? I was reading some info on it and was just curious as to your experience.

Hey Angela Smile How are you feeling?

I still haven't decided whether or not to temp this cycle. Guess I'll play it by ear.

Not really, probably use preseed and SMEP. Can't even really OPK this cycle but I'm betting it will be CD12 or 13. Worst part is that right before we wil be traveling or at MILs. Told DH that I don't care, BD *will* be happening at MILs no matter what. Wink

Thanks everyone for the welcome and for sympathizing about DDs nitemares. Whenever I ask her, she always says "dudes". And she knows what dudes are. It's slowly getting better but still unpredictable. Even now it puts me on edge most nties when we go to sleep

Sorry, girl! I just wanted to let Jenna know I was stalking her before we left for the day.

I did stop taking the Maca but not until about 4 weeks. I don't really think that it would cause anything but since they haven't done much research, well, I thought better safe than sorry. I did also stop taking the Royal Jelly for the same reason but also my pills contained Propolis and it has been shown to be a sensitive agent to the developing baby and could increase allergy/sensitivities.

As for how I'm feeling, I'm feeling great...and it sometimes has me peeved. I do wake up with a bit of a queasy tummy and my BB's are sore but otherwise, no m/s at all. Barely an appetite and have lost some weight (though this may change as the last 2 days I have been a bit hungrier). Still pretty tired by 7:00. But yeah, I feel pretty good. My u/s isn't until June 16 so I have a bit longer to wait to make sure things are going well.

So proud of your running and weight loss, Mary! Keep up the great work. How's work going?

My work is not very busy right now. I really cut down on orders once I found out I was preggo. I was so tired and really unmotivated. I have only been doing about 1 order a week. It's actually nice to not have that stress because DH has been working crazy hours. Plus it gives me time to do stuff I want to do!

Hi Mary! Feeling pretty horrible. I have to take my zofran pills a few times a week to keep from puking. By late afternoon/evening I am pretty much wiped out and it is all I can do to help take care of Nicholas. I wouldn't change it for the world though. Luckily DH has been amazing and does most of the work so I just lie down on the couch and relax. I have another dr. appt this Friday and will hear the heartbeat. Next Mon is my NT ultrasound to see the little one again!

As for the temping-I say DO IT to confirm O at least. It never hurts to know what your body is doing.

So, I spent all day at a friends house lounging by the pool drinking water and apple juice. I didn't go to the bathroom for seriously 10 hours. I just got home at 8:50 and ran into the bathroom and did an OPK -- blazing positive. I want to know if the time I took it mattered at all or the fact I held it. I am calling tomorrow to set up my IUI. I'm hoping it's still positive tomorrow. What do you guys think!?

The cycle I got my BFP I got a blazing positive at 6 pm and midnight on CD14, was still positive on CD 15, and then positive on CD 16 but only for the morning test. My temp confirmed O for CD17 after they had been negative for since CD16 afternoon tests.

I would definitely do the IUI on Wednesday. But also BD on Tuesday. I read the plan about taking a break to make sure the IUI boys are healthy but if DH has no issues, I wouldn't take the chance. I honestly think it's about timing but getting as many boys there as possible is better. So yeah, if DH doesn't have and issues, BD. Wink

I had my IUI this morning and my hubby's swimmers were really good! The doctor said my CM was good. I am ridiculously hopeful right now. Smile

My temp is probably going to rise tomorrow, meaning I am Oing today. Perfect. Timing. I love it.

Oh but I do have a question... I had to temp 30 minutes earlier than usually because we had to get to the hospital early. Would that effect my temp that much? Both oral and vaginal temps stayed low...

No, 30 minutes earlier or later will not change the temp too much if at all. I think you're fine. I am so excited for you!!! How great things lined up so perfectly again! I said it before but get that insurance in tonight, too, ok?

Sorry work is slow but it sounds like in your case it's a good thing. Me, not so much. Work has been slower than usual, and I'm really missing the money, lol. Yeah the info I read on the Maca said that in Peru the preg women kept taking it throughout their pg'cies without any problems, but you know, in the good ole USA we have to be "sooo cautious." I guess that can be a good thing sometimes, but still.... I think they need to do more research. I also read that suddenly stopping the Maca can cause a sudden surge in progesterone (by 'surge' I think they meant a drop) which can possibly cause issues for some pg women (mainly those who already have a problem with progesterone levels). They recommended coming off of it gradually and taking a progesterone supplement. I don't think that will be an issue for you, though. It sounds like your prog levels are just fine.

Also something I didn't know before reading on that same website is that you're supposed to stop taking it during AF every month, I think because it causes your progesterone levels to be a bit higher and you can have a lighter AF as a result and won't get 'cleaned out' completely. I DID notice that the first day of AF, it was really light and my temp was still up, but then after I had been off the Maca for about 24 hrs, my temp dropped like a rock and AF came on full force! LOL. See my chart and you'll see what I mean.

I guess I've decided to temp every other day or so. I was going to this morning, but my DD came and woke us up before I had the chance and then I was up for the day. I didn't really feel like temping this morning anyway.

This has been a shorter period overall, YAY. Can't stand AF, so if she shortens her visit, I am one happy camper. Smile

In other news, apparently there's a forest fire somewhere near here, but we have been unable to pinpoint exactly where, due to the lack of details in the news reporting, so here in just a bit we're going to take off and go look to make sure it's not a threat to us. The helicopter dropping the water has been flying right over our house. I noticed when I went for my run this A.M. that it was a bit smoky -- apparently the fire has been smoldering all day and then flared up again this afternoon and took off from there. It even jumped 95 it was so bad at one point. All this was going on while I was completely unaware of it today!

Mary- that's scary about the fire! Hope it isn't a threat. We live in a hilly area that gets pretty dry in the summer. There is usually at least 1 fire on the hills in front of our house. Scary but not a real threat as it's easily seen and contained pretty quickly.

As for the Maca, I didn't see that you should stop slowly. Yikes! It's been over 4 weeks now and temp is still pretty high so no issue for me (at least hopefully!). But I was only taking 2 pills each day so pretty low dosage. I thought about upping it mid way but decided against it. Good thing, it seems now.

Sorry work is slow. I bet it picks up soon. And for me, it is a good thing. I am so irritable that dealing with certain kinds of customers would be murder. One lady wants me to do a tasting for a party in Nov. I told her usually I would do them a few months out, so August. She wants sooner! Ummm, sorry lady...I don't need the business so take it or leave it. Blah!

Thanks Christina! Smile

I told my hubby I am going to wait until 2 weeks after the IUI to test. He wants me to wait until like the 18th. Our (half) anniversary (we got married twice, 6 months apart) is on June 17th, I want to test June 15th. BUT little does my hubby know... I have FIVE IC tests. Sooooo...... I probably won't last past the 13th. And when I get my early positive I just won't tell him and I will make him think I waited, just like he wanted. It's really a win/win situation. Smile

I never let DH know when I tested early. I would just say that I didn't think I was preggo because I wasn't feeling it. Of course, when I got my 2 lines at 11dpo I couldn't keep it from him but he had no idea I tested until I showed him.

Good luck, Jenna!!!

The fire wasn't too close to us and had actually died out before we went to check so we couldn't even find it.

Really quickly as I have to go now... temps are pretty low for this time in my cycle. Weird.

I'm not liking this cycle at all. I'm trying to stay hopeful, I know it's early. I just had more early "symptoms" last cycle... I keep telling myself that not feeling anything this time is a good thing because last cycle ended badly... But it's hard to stay positive. Siiiigh.

I can't wait to see what your temp does tomorrow Jenna.

Glad to hear the fire wasn't close to you Mary.

I'm still waiting to hear back from my doctor's office. They still have me taking progesterone, but not being too hopeful. Really want to just let my body recover and get over what needs to be done with this m/c. So we can rest and try again soon.

Christina - I know, right? These temps are low for me. Still low this morning, too.

Jenna - Those months that I'm hopeful, my mood tends to go up and down with my temps during the 2ww. I'm rooting for you Smile Hope your temp goes back up in the new couple of days.

Shylah - :bigarmhug:

Ashly, Angela, and the others - how are you?

AFM, I started the daily testing with the opks today because I have a feeling I might O earlier than usual this cycle, but... I don't think this will be our month. DH is having some new/worse issues, medically. He finally went to the doctor, but he doesn't like that doctor so now he's going to try and find a new one.

Anything is possible, of course, so we'll see. But I'm definitely not getting my hopes up for this cycle.

In other news, I'm so excited this morning that I am now under 170 and into the 160s! I lost another 3.5 lbs this past week! :woohoo:

Mary- that is great about the loss!! Woo hoo! Hope DH finds a dr he likes soon.

Jenna- try not to compare to cycles. Plus, every pregnancy is different so you may just have completely different early symptoms. With my loss in 2008, my first symptom was that my greats were so sore they could not be touched. With DS#4 it emwas that I started peeing like crazy! And with this pregnancy it was dizzy spells.

I can tell you that with last preg and this one I thought I was out by CD7 because I didn't feel what I did before. By CD10/11, I knew because of other things I was feeling.

Shyla- im so sorry you're still in limbo. That really sucks. I hope you can get an answer soon.

Mary- YAY CONGRATS on your weight loss. You are doing so amazing!!!! Do you feel different? More energy? Sorry to hear about DH, at least he is going to the dr.

Jenna- It's still SUPER SUPER Early!!!! Like Mary said, everything is different so try not to overanalyze (I know, hard to do).

AFM- Heard the heartbeat last Fri Smile 170s...could that be girl??? Smile Also had a baby free weekend which was very nice. I ate a lot of ice cream. I'm only up 1 lb from my 6 week visit so that is good. Hoping to keep it low the first half of pregnancy as I don't need to gain a lot...I'm shooting for 25lbs or under. I hit 28lbs with Nicholas which wasn't that bad. Still feeling horrible but zofran (and stool softeners) make me human. I am rooting for ALL of you girls!!!!

Angela- DS#4 was always in the 170's early on. It didn't settle into the 150's until well after 20 weeks. Wink I have heard that the sound can be telling. If it sounds like horses galloping, girl...train, boy. Rourke always sounded like a train.

Yesterday after work I cried the ENTIRE drive home. Like I was hysterical and probably shouldn't have been driving. I felt horrible. I lost all hope for this month. I hated that I got a CP last month. I was just really upset.

Today, I feel a little better. My hope is back. I am trying to stay positive. My temps look good for now. I'm a little crampy.... I'm just trying to survive this 2ww.

Mary you are a machine on losing weight. Keep it up! I'm gonna try to get a few pounds down before we try again.

Oh, Shyla, I'm so sorry! {{{hugs}}}

Jenna- it is such a roller coaster, and it doesn't get easier...even after baby arrives. I'm sorry you were/are feeling so down about things. At one point last cycle I was feeling really hopeless, like it was never going to happen. Cried to DH and everything! (This was when he said he would go as far as he needed to make it happen and I actually started looking up adoption proceedings). And then...it happened!

You are still so early in the 2ww that your temps really can't show anything but you had a wonderful rise which shows you lining and uterus is nice and ready for that egg to implant, you have nice high temps which are perfect your little eggie, your timing was perefect. You have so many things going for you this cycle, try to keep your head up. Though I do know how hard it is.

Angela - thanks for the update on you Smile It's interesting that Christina said that about a girls' heartbeat sounding like galloping, because that's what I always thought Hannah's sounded like! As for how I'm feeling since losing weight, I definitely have more energy now, especially after losing the last 3 pounds. I seem to sleep better, too.

Jenna - TTC can be so hard. :comfort: Glad you're doing better today.

Shyla - I remember that awful cramping all too well :bighug:

AFM, I started having quite a bit of o pain on the right side yesterday, and it has continued into today, which is strange because my body signs are pointing toward me not o'ing until a few days from now (at least 2-3 days, if not more). No EWCM yet, either, though last night I think there was a tiny bit of Watery CM in the Creamy. And today my bbs are tender/sore, which is also an o sign for me.

And what is up with my temps this cycle? Lol

(Ok you might be asking: Why is she even worried about it if there is little chance for ttc right now? And the answer is: I'm basically just curious about what my body is doing... and you never know, DH might suddenly have a turn-around and get better, so it doesn't hurt to be prepared, just in case, right? :dontknow:)

Mary- I totally hear ya on wanting to know what's going on with tour body so TTC or not, I would be uber curious, too! Maybe with the running and weight loss your body is healthier and so able to regulate more. I would go with all signs combined with OPK but be sure to keep an eye out for it. (I really hope DH does have a turn around day that happens to coincide with the eggy!)

Half way through my 2ww... Last night I woke up at midnight because I had to pee SO BAD. This morning my temp jumped up a bit. My hopes are high. Smile {{one more week}}
