Question Grrrrr... discarded fever temps, but FF included them anyway???

Update (for first-time readers of this post): FF never did give me CHs using the Advanced method, despite completely removing the higher temps AND despite a clear temp shift, so at 9dpo I finally just switched to the Fertility Awareness setting on the Override so that it would give me CHs.
    --------------------------

I tried contacting FertilityFriend directly, but app-arent-ly you can't contact them unless you pay for VIP! Raah. lol. So I came here to vent, hope you all don't mind. Has anyone else ever noticed that FF INCLUDES temps that you've discarded when calculating your coverline??? I mean, the whole point of discarding them is so that they won't be included in the temp average, right??????? I was sick and ran a fever for 3 days and discarded those 3 temps, and with those 3 temps discarded, it was pretty obvious (temp wise) that I O'd on CD 16 since I had a temp jump followed by 2 more days of higher temps, yet FF refused to give me CHs this morning. *Scratches head* So I switched the detector mode to Fertility Awareness, and going by EWCM alone, which I only had one day, it gave me CHs for CD 16, BUT... it put my Coverline too high! Which means it included my fever temps! Why??? Grrrrrrr. So anyway, I calculated the correct coverline myself, then did an override. No biggie, just wondering why FF doesn't truly discard discarded temps! LOL.

Here is my chart (I discarded the temps on CD 12, 13, and 14, two of the temps you can't see because they go off the screen due to being so high):

Well my temps have continued to go up, but FF still doesn't want to give me CHs when I take the override off.

Oh well. And by the way, I know it might seem silly that I'm charting when we're not trying right now, but 1) My cycles are not super regular so I like to know when to expect AF, and 2) As host of the Charting Board, I want to keep charting so I can relate to my fellow charters.

How frustrating! Can you just delete those temps and see what happens?

You know, I didn't even think about taking the temps out altogether. Duh! LOL. Thank you! I'm sure that will solve the problem, let me go try....

No'p, it didn't work. FF still didn't give me CHs using the advanced setting. It would only give me CHs if I set it to the "Fertility Awareness" setting, which goes by CM alone (in my case, since that's the only fertility-related sign I have on the chart to go by). Hmph. Strange.

Really weird...I've never seen FF do that when you discard the temps, or else I've just never noticed. I've had a few cycles where I've switched the setting to FAM because I didn't agree with the adv, and when in doubt I go with FAM because I trust it more than I trust the folks at FF.

Jean - the only thing I can figure is that FF (on the advanced setting) is going by my history of pre-O temp averages, and my temp didn't go as low as it normally does prior to O'ing this month. However, there IS a very clear temp shift, which should be taken into account by FF's program for that setting, but I guess not. So strange. Anyway, I suppose I could switch it to the FAM setting, at this point it's pretty clear that FF is not going to give me CHs this month otherwise. Thanks for your input

Yeah, that would bug me. I did have a month where they discarded a bunch of my temps that I input using my iPhone app. Took me forever to figure out what was going on.
