Question

I am already starting some research so I don't ask you guys too many questions.

This am I got woke up by loud neighbors at 5:15- took my temp for the heck of it 97.33. I neer got out of bed, and was back asleep pretty quickly. 6:30, woke up, realized I hadn't set my alarm for six and took my temp again 98.01.

Which would you use? I am temping every morning at 6.

Thanks for the help!

I would use the first one, personally. That's too much of a jump in 1.5 hours, IMO, so it sounds like the first temp was more accurate. JMO, though.

You probably have way more experience than me, so I am going to go change it. Thanks so much for the help Mary.

I know you already got your answer, but I totally agree with what Mary said. Smile If I wake up earlier, I always take my temp right when I wake up, because I probably won't get another block of sleep long enough.

That was kind of what I was thinking. My temps don't even look like a pattern, just a jumble.

yes i also agree use the 1st temp. your temps will look more like a pattern after your period is over. what kind of thermometer are you using? I just use a glass thermometer that was $5 at walmart and it's the most accurate i've had so far. if you are using a digital that doesn't give you the same read everytime it's not accurate and you should get a new one.

What do you mean by give me the same read every time?

It's normal for temps to fluctuate a little. I can take my temp 3 times in a row and never get the same reading but they are always pretty close. I have a digital BBT and I really like it. It's been pretty accurate and I get a precise reading since it reads to the 100th of a degree (97.71 for example). I read that your temp will usually be higher if you are even 30 minutes late temping. I even found a site that has you plug in your temp, what time you took it, and what time you usually take it and it will adjust it for you. I played with it but didn't use it for my chart because I don't know how accurate it is though.

I have a digital BBT that reads the same as you ... Like 97.33
