Do you have any pets? If so, what kind, what are their names, and describe their personalities
We have two kittens that are about 4 months old (give or take, without looking at the calendar). See siggy pic The one on the left is a male, tabby mix we think, my daughter named him Morris, and the one on the right is a female (Calico we think) and my daughter named her Rosa. We were only going to adopt one, but decided to get two from the litter so they could keep each other company when we were gone. We got them when they were only 7 wks old (the vet said it was okay, 8 wks is ideal, but 7 wks is acceptable).
Morris - Laid back and easy going, very sweet but not "quite" as lovey dovey as his sister, listens well (though he will try to get his way a couple of times first).
Rosa - Fiesty, super sweet and affectionate (she loves to lick my face and neck, which kinda hurts because of the "sandpaper" tongue, LOL), smart as a whip, stubborn as a mule (for example she will keep getting on the counter over and over again, whereas Morris won't).
Ah...a great question and my favorite topic of conversation!
One retired racing greyhound rescue named Ozzie. He is 4 years old, and didn't do very well racing, but he loves retirement!
He is very laid back, and huge couch potato. You would think that greyhounds would need to run and burn off tons of energy all the time? Nope...about 45 seconds on running in circles in the backyard (which is HYSTERICAL to watch. we call it his Lunatic Laps) and he is done. He spends his day trying out various sleeping surfaces and positions around the house.
He loves his little stuffed toys and carries them around the house, then snuggles with them when he sleeps.
He is terrified of thunderstorms and other dogs (he was attacked before we had him) but otherwise is the most mellow, loving dog we could imagine.

Meet Jetta (brown), and Thor (white).
We got Jetta as a puppy, and our best guess is that she's a toy poodle mix. She's protective but timid at the same time, all bark, no bite... we can't even play fight around her, she gets so upset! She's the 'tomboy', but for every part she is 'boy', Thor is 'girl'. We got Thor when Jetta was 1, but he's a year older. We took him from a bad home, he was skin and bones. Putting 2lbs on a 6lb dog is a lot, and he's still 'underweight' according to the vet, but we can't make this guy eat. He's dainty, doesn't like to get wet or dirty, and likes wearing sweaters. I only put sweaters on him on the really cold winter days, and so we can see him in the snow, but he's been known to find a sweater and bring it to me before going outside!
Thor is a cuddle bug, he's always on a lap. He doesn't care what lap he's on.. he even tried to leave the dog park with another family because they paid him the slightest attention. He's a lover, not a fighter, and a follower, most definitely not a leader. He's a bit of an airhead, and really only seems to follow what Jetta does. He pees where she pees, only eats so she can't have his share, and grabs toys to shove in her face, not run away and be chased.
Jetta is our alpha. She knows that I'm boss, she's second in command, 'daddy' is next in line, and Thor just listens to whoever is the loudest. She doesn't like strangers, especially if the 'strangers' like to hug us when they come into our home. She is ruled by her stomach, and I can't even spell out the word treat without her coming flying from wherever she was. To Jetta, everything is food, or sounds like you're talking about food. Hold out a treat long enough, and she'll pull out every trick in her book.
We love our pups, and would love a third dog, but we've decided to wait until we've started our family. If TTC takes longer than anticipated, we'll get our third next fall. We're a dog family for sure. Can't imagine life without them!
Oh my goodness! So much cuteness. I'll live vicariously through you girls. We rent and can't have furries, so we have a few fish. DS really wants a snake, but that's not happening.

Jean and Jessica ~ I LOVED reading about your dogs! So funny and so cute!
Elizabeth ~ Love the siggy pics of your kids
Aww love this post..Jean and Jessica your puppies are just the cutest.
I have beagle named Ramona. She doesn't know her name, because she has so many nicknames like Turkey Beagle, Beags, Mrs. Poocherton, Beast, Beastie, Furbeast, Hamster and Penguina just to name a few. She is 8, but she is a forever puppy. Being a beagle, food is her main thing. She's obsessed with food, we can't let her out unsupervised because she eats anything and everything!!! She has a lovey, which is a stuff hedgehog toy we've named "Hedge." She lets us know she is ready for bedtime when she goes and finds Hedge and whines at us with the toy in her mouth. She's really excited about breakfast time and every time my alarm goes off she jumps on the bed with excitement and starts licking me (which makes it really hard to take my temp). She is also afraid of thunderstorms. Jean, you should check out the "Thundershirt." It works, but it makes them kind of comatose, which is kind of sad too.
I will try to post a pic later...gotta run to a baby shower!!
