I have something that annoys the pee out of me. When I go to take my temp in the morning, my cat KNOWS the sound of the beep on my thermometer when it turns on, so no matter where she is or what she's doing, she will come RUNNING full speed, leap up on the bed and onto me, then start head-butting my thermometer. So there I am, trying NOT to move and take my temp, and my cat is trying to get in my face. If I don't try to push her away, I risk her knocking the thermometer out of my mouth. If I do push her away, I risk affecting my temp by moving too much. WHY is she so interested in my THERMOMETER! AAAAAH!
At least I have found one trick that works pretty well most of the time. Once I take the thermometer cover off, I hold it in my hand, then when she comes, I let it drop down on the bed next to me and she'll start playing with it and leave me alone, lol.
What annoys me? Well, that would sum up my evening last night. We spent all day painting our master bedroom. It's not huge, but I did all the cutting to the ceiling, floors, doors, etc. So I'm exhausted and ready to just relax after baby goes to bed....and what does my DH find? The liquid laundry soap has spilled ALL over the dryer and gone down the lint vent! I couldn't reach enough of the inside to clean it...sooo.... I had to TAKE APART the whole back of the dryer and try to get liquid soap out of crevices I didn't know existed. It was SO gross. It was also painful...sheet metal edges and fingers do NOT go together. I was so frustrated and tired and after cutting my fingers twice I burst into tears.
Why on earth would they put the dryer vent at the lowest possible point on the top of the dryer?????? Ugh!
Sorry, Alison. That's just awful! You put in all that work and then that happened to make more work for you!
I have a vent, too, this morning. My sweet 4-yr old (will be 5 in Feb) daughter, bless her heart, I love her so much, but sometimes she can really drive me up the wall, lol! This morning she didn't want to do anything by herself, she even wanted me to help her get out of bed, and WHINED about EVERYTHING! What should have only taken ten minutes for her to get out of bed and get dressed and go to the breakfast table, took her an HOUR! Gah.
(PS: Whining/dragging her feet is a regular thing with her, so after dealing with it for several days in a row, it really starts to build up!)
